Sure, there are fun apps and websites like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat, but there comes a point when you get bored checking the same three-four apps again and again. The content on all these platforms is more or less the same and this makes the whole thing a bit boring. This is when you need to check out some of the coolest and fun sites to stave off your boredom.

Bored?

So, if you are going to be spending a lot of time at home, then keep reading this article. Below, we have mentioned some of the most interesting and fun sites to keep you entertained for hours on end.

However, just make sure you are connected to a reliable internet, preferably one that comes with a larger threshold for data limits. Some of these sites require you to accept cookies and only a secure connection can help you browse these sites easier. This is why we suggest signing yourself up for any of the Xfinity Internet deals since they include superfast speeds with a secure connection – perfect for endless browsing.

Having said that, here are our top picks of the sites you should visit when bored.

1. Hearts.Co

In the mood for a challenge? Try the classic trick-taking card game Hearts! The objective of Hearts is to accumulate the least number of points by strategically avoiding certain cards, notably all hearts and the Queen of Spades.

On Hearts.Co, players have the option to play solo, where you compete against computer opponents, which is ideal for practicing strategies.

Alternatively, the site offers a multiplayer mode, where individuals can challenge and play against other players from around the world, adding a competitive and social aspect to the game perfect for those looking to get out of boredom.

2. Backgammon Online

Backgammon is an ancient and strategic two-player board game that involves skill, strategy, and a bit of luck, where players move their pieces according to the roll of dice with the aim of removing all their pieces from the board first.

It’s an excellent choice for getting rid of boredom due to its engaging mix of strategy and chance, offering endless possibilities in each game.

For those interested, Backgammon Online provides a platform to play backgammon online for free, making it easily accessible for anyone wanting to enjoy this timeless game from anywhere.

3. Radio.Garden

Wondering what the radio in Rome, Italy is playing right now? Well, go over to Radio Garden and find out yourself!

You can even install its free app to get a complete experience. It is a free online service that provides radio stations to users so they can listen to them either from a browser or an app. Plus, it does not require you to create an account for it.

So, if you have ever wanted to hear what the radio in Tokyo is playing at the moment or of any other city, then leave it to the Radio Garden to take you to those places through airwaves and listen to them in real-time.

4. Boil the Frog

Create a seamless playlist between any two artists of your choice by using Boil the Frog. This super cool website is known for making the entire experience of listening to songs a whole lot more exciting and entertaining.

5. Flight Radar (Flightradar24)

Hands down, one of the coolest websites, Flight Radar gives you all the information related to every plane that is currently in the sky. It makes you think how far we all have come in terms of technology. And it is so cool to see the air traffic in real-time.

Flightradar 24 is essentially a global flight tracking service. It gives you live updates on thousands of aircraft that are currently available across the world. The accuracy is truly unbelievable. What’s more, it is available for free for all iOS and Android users.

6. Geoguessr

Geoguessr is one of the most entertaining games that you can play to cure your boredom. It is essentially guessing that you play while using Google Maps. The game drops you in a random location and from there on, you have to guess where you are.

To guess correctly, you can take help from clues such as the language of the street signs or you can make a guess based on your instincts.

Plus, the game allows you to sign up so you can play it in a challenge mode against other players.

7. The Passive Aggressive Password Machine

What could be more fun than getting yourself roasted by a chatbot for your passwords?

The Passive Aggressive Password Machine actually roasts you in a very passive-aggressive way on your passwords. Simply, type in any password and let the machine take it from there.

Trust us, we have heard all kinds of insults from this machine and definitely had a good laugh.

So, don’t wait any longer and check this site out yourself.

8. What Should I Read Next?

If you think you have devoured all the books in your TBR (To Be Read) list, then it is time to visit What Should I Read Next?

This website takes your preferences into account and then provides you with a list of all the book recommendations that you would love to read. All you need to do is enter a book you already like and leave it to its database to fetch you book suggestions similar to your taste.

Closing Thoughts

When the world of the internet is at your disposal, then you don’t have to worry about getting bored. So, check out the sites we have mentioned above the next time you feel like you have nothing to do and cure your boredom instantly.

Wondering if this article was wholesale copied and pasted from elsewhere? The main thing giving me this suspicion is the plug for Xfinity Internet deals. Clicked on there and it looks as if they only operate within the USA.

Bit of a departure from the normal Canary content. Will we be seeing more Listicles and product placement in the future? Maybe Joe Glentons’ promotion of his book within a previous article was a harbinger of a new approach for the Canary?

    6. What Should I Read Next….

Ironic. When I posted a short list of news sites giving in-depth non-MSM news and views on the Palestine crisis, The Canary deleted it.
