Another Belfast self-styled ‘vigilante’ shows his true colours on his way to Unite the Kingdom rally

Belfast’s far-right continue to reveal their true nature, as another of the self-styled “protector of women and children” caused havoc on his way to Tommy Robinson’s ‘Unite the Kingdom’ hate fest in London last weekend.

Unite the Kingdom (but only if you’re white)

Convicted ex-Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) armed robber Mark Sinclair (aka Freedom Dad on social media platforms) bravely held the powerful to account – in this case Stena Line ferry staff and passengers – by filming and harassing his drunken way across the Irish Sea.

Staff on the ship’s bar had refused to serve him more wine, which resulted in an increasingly confrontational approach from the ex-convict. Far from defending ordinary people, Sinclair adopted his usual schtick of using them as props for clicks on his Facebook and YouTube accounts, attempting to trigger an angry response by saying:

You’re all left wing. Do you support the murder of Charlie Kirk?

He also accused them of “getting at” him for being right-wing.

Staff responded by telling him to:

Take a seat and wait until the police arrive. You appear as though you’ve been drinking.

A Stena Line statement on the incident read:

Anyone behaving in a rude, rowdy, aggressive or socially unacceptable manner will be refused the right to travel. We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful and inclusive working environment for all our employees.

We want to ensure all customers have a positive experience when travelling and we expect our customers to adhere to our code of conduct.

A staff member can also be seen in the video describing the so-called ‘citizen journalist’ as a “narcissist and a bully who had harassed a Chinese passenger”.

The ‘threat of a far-left’ government? Get real

In a post still up on his Facebook page labelled “A drunk freedomdad …”, Sinclair did little to disprove that description in a self-aggrandising ramble portraying a noble quest of sticking his head “above the parapet” to defend his “community”. Repeatedly referring to himself in the third-person, he opined that “we’re not here for fame, we’re not here for egos, we’re not here for money”.

Prominently featured on his Facebook page is a link where the ex-loyalist gangster asks for followers to send him cash. He went on to describe his mission to not “ever stop what we’re doing under the threat of a far-left traitorous government” in London.

If someone could direct the Canary to the far-left government in question, we’d be delighted to see it because all we’ve seen at Number 10 thus far under Starmer is a flag-humping, genocide-supporting shower of Blairite non-entities intent on emboldening the far-right at every turn.

Sinclair’s efforts in London included a fawning interview of ex-Israeli Occupation Forces soldier-turned-far-right influencer Avi Yemini who ‘Freedom Dad’ described as “his hero”.

Sinclair also adopted the current far-right positioning of saying he was “representing my community, the unionist, loyalist community and the Catholic community” an alarming trend that sees an attempt to replace old sectarian divides with a supposed united front against migrants, and increasingly anyone non-white. Tricolours were spotted at the London protest, though the Belfast far-right are still overwhelmingly concentrated in loyalist areas.

Racist vigilantes: targeting migrants

The rant also took in the jailed animal abuser Neil Pinkerton, who was remanded into custody after being charged on September 8 with:

three counts of common assault, two counts of using disorderly behaviour at Connswater Retail Park and at a McDonald’s fast-food outlet, trying to damage a car, harassment, possessing Class B cannabis and inciting hatred.

He is part of the same network as Sinclair, which targets vulnerable delivery drivers and homeless migrants. The inebriate described Pinkerton as “a man that’s locked up for words, in Maghaberry [prison] right now”, rather than for the brutal racist crimes he is alleged to have committed.

Pinkerton was back in court today  (16 September) for another incident on July 22, in which he is accused of common assault and theft. The victim’s sleeping bag was stolen as part of the act of vigilantism, a widespread problem of racist harassment that finally appears to be coming to the attention of police.
