Buffoonish ICE agent discharges weapon in stupidest way possible

The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have provoked controversy this week after they gunned down a young mother. The take away for many was that these men are bullies, morons, and cowards who are looking for any excuse to perpetrate ultra-violence. Further adding to this theory, we now know these clowns are walking around with the safety off:

🚨 CAUGHT ON TAPE: Two ICE agents slip on ice in Minnesota —causing one of their weapons to discharge because it wasn’t set on safety.

These people are dangerously negligent.

Was a bit to icy for ICE

Obviously the above video is funny, but in the context of everything else it’s terrifying. These people are quick to reach for their guns, as we’ve all seen:

Every firearm training I’ve had and every person who’s ever taught me from casual hunters to former special forces operators has stressed that you only pull the gun out when you’re prepared to kill and have accepted the inevitably of pulling the trigger. Can’t stress that enough. https://t.co/c31JotBAaP

Now, they’re threatening and manhandling people while asking ‘have you not learned from the past couple of days?’:

As Mother Jones reported:

The pattern raises serious concerns. For decades, cops have been trained not to shoot at moving vehicles. New York City’s police department banned firing at unarmed drivers in 1972. After it did so, police shootings plummeted in the city. All of the country’s largest 25 cities generally prohibit firing at vehicles as well, a Times investigation found in 2021.

Instead of shooting, law enforcement officers are taught to do something much safer for everybody involved: Get out of the way. But the federal agents enforcing President Donald Trump’s mass deportation campaign seem not to be following this rule, and are taking a far more dangerous path.

There are two reasons why we’re seeing this brutality. The first is that the administration has promised ICE agents they can get away with basically anything:

BREAKING: Vice president JD Vance just acknowledged that the Trump administration is covering up the evidence in the ICE killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis.

He just claimed that the ICE agent has "absolute immunity" from prosecution.

The second is that many of these ICE agents are literally thick as shit:

ICE shooting comes after bombshell probe finds new recruits 'can barely read or write' https://t.co/RqP9v2twjk

Some of the quotes in this piece really need to be seen to be believed:

The explosive Daily Mail report found that the administration’s $50,000 signing bonus attracted droves of unqualified recruits — high school grads who can “barely read or write,” overweight candidates with doctor’s notes saying they’re unfit, and even applicants with pending criminal charges.

The report exposed how Immigration and Customs Enforcement took a blowtorch to hiring standards, with one Department of Homeland Security official blasting: “We have people failing open-book tests and we have folks that can barely read or write English.”

Some of these recruits are sexually harassing one another; others are off their heads on drugs. And as one insider said:

This isn’t the department of baking cookies. This is the Department of Homeland Security, where you can be deported from the country.

And we’re now employing people who are not equipped to tie their own shoelaces.

This whole thing is a complete disaster from beginning to end.

Grim

These ICE agents don’t need guns; they need an education.

All people should have an opportunity to prosper; even the goons who are currently working for ICE. What they shouldn’t have is the inalienable right to take their frustration out on people who are trying to live their lives.

Worryingly, both Reform and the Tories have talked about importing this chaos to British streets:

Our politics is heading increasingly in a dangerous direction.

We must, and will, resist. pic.twitter.com/Ib8yZhVrhC
