Trump’s ICE thugs have put six children, including a six-month-old baby, in hospital after throwing an explosive charge at them.

ICE putting six children in hospital

The Jackson family was trying to leave their home to escape tear-gas fired by ICE in their neighbourhood last week. The Trump thugs threw several so-called ‘flashbang’ stun grenades at their car, after shooting a civilian. They also fired more tear gas at the vehicle. An eyewitness described what happened:

ICE agents began tear-gassing a residential neighborhood after shooting a man nearby. As the gas spread, a family got into their vehicle to escape the tear gas. In the video, a man is seen standing in front of a car with airbags deployed on all sides, explaining that he told the agents he was trying to leave his house, with his family because of the tear gas.

Despite this, an agent threw multiple flash-bang grenades at the vehicle anyway… while children were inside. Inside the van was a 6-month-old infant who stopped breathing after the attack. EMTs were called and taking the baby in an ambulance.

The family’s six children were all hospitalised. The family’s mother had to use CPR on her baby until paramedics arrived.

In a since-deleted X post, ICE’s Homeland Security parent agency initially blamed the parents for the incident:

It is horrific to see radical agitators bring children to their violent riots. PLEASE STOP ENDANGERING YOUR CHILDREN.

“Non-lethal”, apparently

A 2015 report found that over fifty people had been killed or suffered life-changing injuries since 2000 after the supposedly ‘non-lethal’ explosives were used on them. No more up-to-date statistics appear to have been gathered, but even the 2015 figure is believed to be a gross under-estimate. Police often do not report deaths and injuries from the use of the grenades. Several police officers have also been killed when grenades they were about to use exploded prematurely.

According to the Mother Jones news site, children have been injured in numerous other ICE chemical attacks in the area. These include several deployments of tear gas in local schools and children injured by flashbangs as they walked home.

Good. There needs to be a lot more of this kind of thing.

Then perhaps the American people might wake up to the reality of what they’ve allowed to happen.
