Reform’s next Tory defector could be the least surprising yet

According to speculation, the next Tory to defect to Reform is none other than Katie Lam:

Reform source:

"Katie Lam is going to be one of the next Conservative MPs to defect to Reform UK. She’s been on the fence for a while, but after seeing her closest allies join Reform, she feels like she’s got to make a decision."

— Charlie Simpson 🇬🇧 (@CharlieSimpsonA) January 26, 2026

If you’re not sure who that is, believe us; she’s been on the verge of defecting for ages now. And as this writer responded to Simpson:

She is the least ‘on the fence’ that anyone has ever been ever

Silence of the Lam

The commenter above is Charlie Simpson of the right-leaning GB Politics. Simpson has form on this front, having announced that Andrew Rosindell would defect to the Tories shortly before he made the move.

Councillor David Ward noted that Lam could be tempted to move because she might lose the ‘Weald of Kent’, which is the name of her constituency. Perhaps more importantly, she also has ties to Tory defectors Jenrick and Braverman:

Rumours growing that @Katie_Lam_MP will defect to Reform. Last year she gave only conditional support to the Tories & polls show she might lose the Weald of Kent. Having worked for Suella Braverman & supported Robert Jenrick’s Tory leadership bid she looks a likely Tory traitor. pic.twitter.com/oVV2BwdONg

So, it looks like another Tory defecting to maintain their seat on the gravy train.

Oh, and this is a side note, but according to her pinned tweet, Lam is something of a day drinker:

In other words, she’ll fit right in with Farage, because he also thinks being ‘relatable’ means sinking an afternoon pint:

Here I am pretending I drink beer, doing my 'man of the people' act to fool the gullible dimwits into thinking I give a shit about them pic.twitter.com/5eTWRUyR3l

Predictable

We covered Lam back in September. She used the case of a doctor who had sex at work to argue that migration is bad for the UK. As we reported then:

If Katie Lam thinks an entire group of people should be damned because one of them gets caught in a sex scandal, THEN I HAVE VERY BAD NEWS FOR HER ABOUT THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

In a longer passage, we also predicted that Lam was not long for the Tories (emphasis added):

I’ve described Lam’s actions as a ‘sad attempt for attention’, because that’s what it looks like. No one takes the Tories seriously anymore, so increasingly they have to copy Reform to get attention. The problem is the Tories spent 14 years stoking up racial antagonism while maintaining high levels of migration, and now Reform has taken the baton by shifting even further right.

The problem Reform will have is that nothing will satisfy these people besides the forced re-migration of the non-white population (which is what they called for at Tommy Robinson’s ‘Unite the Kingdom‘ rally in early September). It’s a grim and dangerous game our politicians are playing, and it’s in play to draw attention away from their billionaire mates rinsing this country for everything it’s got.

Given how blatantly racist Lam’s tweet is, there’s a good chance she’s about to defect to Reform, and this is her going out in a blaze of slurry. With the Tory Party as desperate as it is, though, there’s every chance they won’t give her the bollocking she’s hoping for. Even worse, we may see some of them copy her.
