US military calls BS on Trump’s ‘plenty of defence missiles’ claim

US generals have told a ‘closed door’ Congressional meeting that their air defences in West Asia won’t be able to keep up for long with the rate at which Iran is firing its drones and missiles. The stark warning contradicts US president Donald Trump’s wild and self-contradicting claims on his ‘Truth Social’ platform that the US has “unlimited” stocks of air defence missiles but somehow “we are not where we want to be”.

Iran has been launching a stream of attacks on US bases and interests in their vassal states in the region, as well as on Israel. These have mostly consisted of its basic ‘Shahed’ drones, yet US systems have failed to intercept many even of these low-cost weapons despite abundant footage showing multiple interceptors launched at each incoming drone:

The senior officers briefing members of Congress included General Dan Caine, the chair of the ‘Joint Chiefs of Staff’. They acknowledged the “thousands” of Iranian attack drones were forcing the United States and its allies to expend huge quantities of extremely expensive defensive weaponry and even then many were getting through.

Many analysts say the US only has stocks to last a week or two at best and potentially only a few days. Iran has also destroyed two US radar installations essential for targeting incoming missiles, as well as at least two ‘THAAD’ interceptor batteries. The THAAD launchers are the most expensive air defence systems in the world. The United States reportedly only has three of these specific radar installations.

The chaos caused by the constant Iranian barrage saw Kuwaiti-based US systems shoot down three US fighter jets in a single day on 2 March 2026.

The panic of the west has been clear from the start. Israel has attacked Cyprus and Turkie and Azerbaijan, the US is trying to appoint a new ruler (the richest kid in the world who has spent is life in New York living off stolen Iranian cash) because they can’t find a real Iranian who will take on the job, the much publicized civil unrest has proven to be a lie and the west has no explanation.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe who was jailed for spying is now doing the rounds and I would imagine accidentally admitted to using NED supplied spying kit to talk to her friends
The BBC is forced to ignore all damage in Israel and the Gulf States (claiming these are random strikes, refusing to fact check how these states aided in the destruction of Syria and Iraq), leaving them giving weepy reports on how the Iranian cities are being bombed to rubble (without mentioning the war crimes of Israel and the US in bombing civilians)
The Israel missile problem was known and reported during the 12 day war, which was halted because of shortages. THAAD are said to be moving from Korea, and Japan which is upsetting the host nations, where the citizens already want the US out.
The Israelis and US are not prepared, they believed the lies of an impending Iranian revolution but the Iranians know what the US did to them after the 1953 military coup and how they tried to keep the Shah in power in 1978, again with the help of the BBC broadcasting propaganda.
I tend to think the Iranians have decided to continue a slow attack on the west to drain its missiles, rather than an all out attack to saturate them. A longer response shows they are considerate, their targeting is selective and lacks the barbarism of the west.
Western reports are also pointing at the non action of Russia but this is false, Russia is providing technical aid, radar gps jamming etc, to have its hardware involved could exacerbate the situation and give the west more propaganda to use. The more quiet Ukraine front shows that the missiles used there are perhaps being used against Israel.

Al Jazeera claims 2,000 $20k drones have been fired by Iran in their legal self defence response to stop US bases & Israel attacking them oh and lumpen Starmer there is no such thing as Western attackers taking down drones as a self defence response , it iOS just an admission that you are aiding illegal attacks on a sovereign nation to continue.
Al Jazeera also reports that Iran has sent in 20 waves of rockets now and a significant number are getting through & each anti drone rocket costs $1m.
The FT today (6/3/26) claims the US illegal attacks are costing almost $900m a week – $3.5b to date.
And some of the Arab countries oil storage plants will be full in 2 weeks.
As the Western media tries to frame the narrative as US & Israel are walking it & quotes some Iranian citizens panicking perhaps the illegal attacking forces are being hit harder than we are being told?
This could all have been prevented if the world had more political heavyweights like Corbyn & Polanski who put peace & co-operation between countries first.
We need to de-escalate and broker a peace before Iran if attacked too far sends the supersonic missiles in.
