The front page of a newspaper is illustrated. The masthead of the paper reads “Owner is a Tory donor”. Next to that is a box reading “Thanks ma’am! New Jubilee Bank Holiday”. The main headline dominating the front page is “In a spin! Man employed by No. 10 leaves”. The subheadline reads “Other man to get job. More inside”. Beneath that is a headline reading “UK economy bounces back!” Next to that is a much smaller box with the headline “UK Covid deaths hit 50,000”. The text is so small that a magnifying glass is illustrated over the text to make it visible.
We know everyone is suffering under the Tories - but the Canary is a vital weapon in our fight back, and we need your support
The Canary Workers’ Co-op knows life is hard. The Tories are waging a class war against us we’re all having to fight. But like trade unions and community organising, truly independent working-class media is a vital weapon in our armoury.
The Canary doesn’t have the budget of the corporate media. In fact, our income is over 1,000 times less than the Guardian’s. What we do have is a radical agenda that disrupts power and amplifies marginalised communities. But we can only do this with our readers’ support.
So please, help us continue to spread messages of resistance and hope. Even the smallest donation would mean the world to us.

I don’t think the story is primarily for public consumption. It’s a warning to those in the know that the Americans are clearing the decks after their election.
Spun out of control! Very funny cartoon Ralph.
This is a story for grown ups who can tell their children about satirical humour, and how healthy it is for ones well being.
