Green Party conference system ‘under DDOS attack’ trying to prevent anti-Zionism vote
The Green Party’s conference online voting system is under ‘DDOS attack‘ this morning, as members prepare to vote on a motion to declare the party officially opposed to the racist ideology of Zionism, according to party insiders who spoke to Skwawkbox.
Pro-Israel groups and the Israeli embassy have been frothing for weeks about the vote and attempted to pressure party leaders into blocking the motion, but democracy prevailed and the demands were ignored. Now it seems the Israel lobby is trying to take matters into its own hands.
The Green Party’s tech team is working to resolve or bypass the attack. Voting is taking place throughout the day, so members registered to ‘attend’ should log into the Greens’ members website and make sure to cast their vote for the motion as soon as it is working. Alternatively, the website link in the party’s emails to individual members about the conference appears to be still working despite the attack.

how do you know this is a ddos attack?
Can’t be Mossad, they are closed on Saturday.
Mossad is part of the secular military Zionist section of Israel. They don’t care about religion. Its about power.
How can Zionism be racist? , by definition it is the belief that Jews should be allowed (if they want to) to live in their biblical homeland of Israel. A homeland with an archeologically proven 3,500 year history.
Zionism is viewed by some as an ideology that seeks to maintain a Jewish majority, which they argue necessitates the exclusion or marginalisation of the indigenous Palestinian population.
Stop trying to explain Zionism to Jews. Imagine telling any other people what their identity is supposed to mean to them. It is very simple. A belief that Jews have the right to govern themselves in the land that they came from. Nothing more than that.
Well then you haven’t understood Zionists and Zionism and you are blind to what Zionism are doing to the Palestinians and their land.
Zionism is a Jewish concept about self determination, you don’t get to define it.
If you have any problems with the Israeli government’s actions, that’s a separate issue entirely.

As a Jew I have no problem with non-Jews offering explanations of the ideology of Zionism just as its fine for Marxists to offer explanations of the ideology of Marxism etc. I should also point out that despite being a Jew Israel is not the land I “came from”. I came from Britain with roots tracing back to Eastern Europe. And in any event no-one has the right to govern themselves in the land they “came from” without equally according rights of the others (in this case primarily Christians and Muslims) who also came from that land.
Jews don’t get the exclusive right to define zionism, just as no supporter of any ideology gets the exclusive right to define that ideology. You’ll have to get used to that.

Not all Jews are Zionists and not all Zionists are Jews. Stop conflating the two.

The problem with Zionism is not that Jews can live in the land some of their ancestors may have lived in but that they refuse non Jews with much more recent and closer ties to that land the same rights and seek to expell them.

My great x10 grandfather was a landowner in the Irish midlands in the mid 18th century. He must have been pretty well off, his son (my great x9 grandfather) came to London, became a (protestant) bishop and married a granddaughter of the Earl of Moray. Family fortunes have declined somewhat since those days…
But the point is, all this is documented. Its proven history. But does that give me the right to go to Ireland and claim the old family lands as my birthright ? Of course not, nor would I even think of trying.
Yet I have actual historical family proof of my ancestors once living there. Is there a single Zionist Israeli who could provide ANY proof that their ancestors came from Palestine thousands of years ago ? I doubt it.
The Soviet Union, under Lenin, offered Jews their own homeland – the Jewish Autonomous Oblast was esthablished in 1934 and still exists as part of the Russian Federation, although the Jewish population has declined. Its one of two officially Jewish jurisdictions in the world, and is older than the other one, Israel.
But the thing is, Zionists were fixated on stealing Palestine, so they disuaeded Jews from emigrating there – you might wonder how events in Nazi Germany might have been different if they hadn’t. I suspect that many European Ashkenazi Jews actually have a lineage closer to the JAO than they ever did to Palestine.
It was obvious I wa son line wiht a number of friends and what wht obfuscation and technical hitches it was obvious that some elements were trying to prevent the vote.
