The Young Greens have led the way for their machine-hindered parent party by dumping the pro-Israel, pro-colonialism so-called ‘IHRA working definition of antisemitism‘.
Young Greens break ranks
The Israel lobby within the Green party succeeded in sabotaging a ‘Zionism is racism’ motion at the Greens’ conference. However, today – 19 July 2026 – the Young Greens have passed a new resolution dismissing the party’s existing, IHRA-framed guidance as “unfit for purpose” and that the Greens’ youth section:
Believes:
Antisemitism is a serious form of racism that must be actively identified, challenged, and addressed within the Young Greens and the wider Green movement.
A robust antisemitism framework must be both genuinely protective of Jewish members and genuinely protective of free political expression, including Palestinian solidarity, criticism of Israeli state policy, and anti-Zionist political analysis.
The existing reference to a now-inaccessible guidance document does not provide members or officers with the clear and usable framework they need.
The document originally adopted by reference is unfit for purpose and should not be reinstated: it cites politically loaded authorities as neutral scholars, frames anti-Zionism as presumptively suspicious, presents a definition of Zionism that makes no mention of the Palestinian Nakba, explicitly instructs disciplinary bodies to use it, and is now out of date with Green Party policy on Gaza.
This motion is not a policy statement on Israel/Palestine and does not alter the Young Greens’ existing policy positions on Israel, Palestine, or BDS; it is intended as an educative rather than legalistic document.
Resolves
1. To replace the existing 2020 RoOS entry titled “Guidance on Antisemitism” with the following guidance.
2. To adopt the following as the Young Greens’ guidance on antisemitism, for educational and organisational purposes:
‘Speaking through tears’
The Canary‘s Cameron Baillie celebrated and explained the decision:
Speaking through tears following the motion passing—which passed in [a] 16:1 ratio—proposer Jo Dowbor said:
“Leftist greens have tried to drop the IHRA for 20 years—we just made history”. That is palpably true.
One of its Jewish proposers was Noam, born in Israel, who moved to [the] UK.
— C.J.Mc. Baillie (@cjmbaillie) July 19, 2026
Noam’s speech stated that the IHRA definition of antisemitism is “not only inaccurate but dangerous”.
They stated that it is harmful to equate Jews with [the] project of Israel, although this is repeatedly done by politicians.
…make Greens the party “not to compromise on its values”

The IHRA is widely used to suppress free speech on Israel and has been rejected by legal experts and even by the man who wrote it. It continues, unsurprisingly, to be pushed by Israel lobby groups and Israel-allied politicians. The UK government and Israel lobby have used it to target anyone who dares to speak out against Israel’s genocide, or even to show solidarity with its victims.
Accordingly, the Israel lobby was in meltdown at even the prospect of the party’s youth wing voting on the motion. That will only intensify now it has passed resoundingly.
Now it’s time for the Greens’ as a whole to block the manoeuvres of its Israel front group, dump the ‘IHRA definition’ and declare officially that Zionism is — as it unquestionably is — racism.

They better explain to their cosplayer-in-chief leader what Zionism is first:
Iain Dale: “Is Zionism racism?”
Zack Polanski: “I genuinely wouldn’t know what you meant by Zionism, and I say that as a Jewish person.” ~ LBC, Feb, ’2026.
Yes, dump it, it’s been an ugly Trojan Horse!
OK. One down, several more to go. Next priority should be to stop all Green Party support for the western-backed genocidal nazi regime in Ukraine, with all the associated lies about Russia being some sort of “threat” to the UK or any other country in Europe.
It is UK and Europe that have consistently threatened Russia, imposing endless and increasingly ludicrous sanctions that merely damage our own economy. Time did not start in February 2022 any more than it started in October 2023. The Kiev regime took power in a US-instigated coup in February 2014 and immediately started its oppression of Ukraine’s Russian-speaking population, with a civil war against those in the east who refused to recognise the illegal regime that was killing them. The regime called it an “anti-terrorist operation” defining terrorists as every man, woman, and child in the Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts.
The Young Greens have a good start.
Unfortunately their write-up expresses naivety:
“A robust antisemitism framework must be both genuinely protective of Jewish members and genuinely protective of free political expression, including Palestinian solidarity, criticism of Israeli state policy, and anti-Zionist political analysis.”
Personally I think the Jewish community lost the privileged victimhood status when they started mass genociding millions of people in an enclave by stealing their land, hijacking and infiltrating political parties, and re-directing the entire American war machine into bombing entire empires.
You cannot, as a jew, on the one hand, argue you some constantly oppressed victim in dire need of protection, and then on the other, have control of a 3,000 nuke armed superpower and a finger in every political pie on the table (with *every* major party’s leader either being out-and-out zionist – Keir Starmer, Zack the zionist Polanski, Kemi Badenoch, Andy Burnham, Boris Johnson, Tony Blair, Nigel Farage, Richard Tice, Rupert Lowe., Donald Trump, Joe Biden… to name a few… or basically too afraid to criticise jewish supremacism (as is the case here).
You cannot be a victim whilst simultaneously being in a privileged position to commit mass genocide and conquering land. Do you walk on eggshells when criticising the British empire? The French empire? The American empire? So why the fuck are we walking on eggshells when criticising the Jewish empire. They’re the ones committing mass genocide of children, oppressed, impoverished adults, destroying and subverting democracy. We all saw it happen, 24/7, live footage, posted everywhere on social media. Even now some of them still publicly scream (like Netanyahu and Ben Gvir) to genocide even more, with one line being “there are no innocents” when it comes to genociding the shit out of children.
No. No victimhood status for jews now. They’ve become the perpetrators, and it is time to recognise the monster in the room. No more DARVO or gaslighting from the genocidal psychopath. Preferential treatment and playing nice results in dead school children in tents and weapons being shipped overseas. If whites aren’t privileged because they own empires, then neither are jews. Claiming to be a victim does not give you the right to become a bully.
So we just dropping the mask of ‘anti zionism isnt anti semitism’ are we? All Jews are just Israeli’s now? I ask rhetorically, you lot are absolutely blatant that its become comical. I swear, the fringes of left and right get more and more unhinged on a daily basis. Also the fact you can even use the phrase ‘privileged victimhood’ encapsualtes your worldview perfectly, not fit for purpose mate lol
“You lot”? Who is that, exactly? Sadly, the reality is that, even after years of Israel’s open genocide of the Palestinian people, its political and legal entrenchment of apartheid, its military aggression against neighbouring states for the purpose of enlarging the size of the Only Jewish National State, survey after survey shows that most Western Jews are still deeply attached to it and refuse to admit its atrocities. That minority of Jews who oppose Israel, such as the admirable Tony Greenstein, are viciously attacked by Jewish supremacists: Greenstein was recently expelled from the Green Party. In the UK, every official representative of the Jewish community that is recognised by the UK state, such as the Board of Deputies and the Jewish Leadership Council, are rigidly pro-Zionist and anti-Palestine.
Socialism is completely anti-Zionist, and rightly so: Zionism was founded in part as a response to the popularity of socialism amongst European Jews. The hard right, though, is anti-semitic, Zionist and pro-Israel. Had you forgotten the many anti-semitic allies of Israel?
