Fascist coloniser Smotrich boasts he’s leaving some of Lebanon for his son to destroy

Israeli finance minister Bezalel Smotrich has boasted to Israeli TV that his son will be back destroying Lebanon. Smotrich is a self-described fascist and extremist settler. His son was badly wounded in March 2026 after just minutes helping Israel commit its war crimes in southern Lebanon.

But Smotrich’s fanatical racism runs so deep that he boasted that his son will be back destroying land and killing Lebanese civilians:

One of Israel’s foulest

Smotrich stayed in Netanyahu’s cabinet in January 2025 in return for Netanyahu’s promise to escalate Israel’s attacks on the occupied West Bank. He then quit three months later, but withdrew his resignation in return for more positions for his fellow extremists.

An open racist, he has opposed selling homes to Arab Israelis and says that Israeli settlers murdering Palestinians is not terrorism. He has also called for the shooting of Palestinian children and says that the Palestinian people do not exist. In May 2025, he boasted that Gaza will be “totally destroyed” and its people dead or expelled.

Smotrich’s foulness is not only directed at Muslims and other non-Jews. He also hates LGBTQ Israelis, boasted that he is a “proud homophobe”, and described gay people as “beasts” and an “abomination”.

Since its latest illegal invasion began in March, Israel has slaughtered almost 2,700 people in Lebanon and wounded more than 8,000. It has destroyed whole villages and forcibly displaced over a million civilians – an unequivocal war crime.

Israel is a terror state and Bezalel Smotrich is one of its foulest exemplars.
