NHS medic, Olivia Brandon, has accused Surrey Police of strangling her until she lost consciousness. This incident occurred during a protest to secure help for a dying anti-genocide hunger strikers.

Brandon was protesting outside Bronzefield prison with other medical professionals. They were demanding an ambulance to treat Palestine Action hunger striker Qesser Zuhrah. The incident was caught on camera.

The pressure on Brandon’s neck caused her to lose consciousness. She was subsequently taken to the local hospital for CT scans of her head and neck.

The prison eventually allowed an ambulance to reach hunger striker, Qesser Zuhrah, who has been on hunger strike for more than fifty days now. The protest continued all night and late into the following day. IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands died on his 66th day of starvation in the 1980s.

The prison eventually allowed an ambulance to reach hunger striker Qesser Zuhrah, who has been on strike for over 50 days. This came after the protest continued into the following day. IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands died after 66 days of starvation in the 1980s.

As the ambulance left with Zuhrah, police clashed with the protesters. They arrested Dr. Ayo Khalil, another medic, and handcuffed him in a van. Khalil was the only Black protester present.

Zuhrah and five others are protesting the political imprisonment of the ‘Filton 24’ anti-genocide activists. They have been denied bail for over 18 months under anti-terror laws. Despite this, they have not been charged with terrorism offences. The usual remand period is six months.

Hey, at least they’re not in Russia! Russia would have passed draconian anti-liberty laws, and violently attacked any protestors, because they are an authoritarian dictatorship, unlike the democratic UK.

Oh, hang on… did you say “Strangled into unconsciousness by security forces for protesting about the inhuman treatment of a protestor against genocide”?

Don’t recall hearing that happening in Russia. Perhaps that’s why 90% of their population likes their leader, while 90% of the UK absolutely fucking hates Starmer and his bunch of bloodsoaked maniacal and corrupt clowns. And the Tory ‘opposition’.

You will not have heard about events like that in Russia because media that do not toe the official line there cannot operate. Duh.

Dear Tom, the coverage of this incident was carried by Novara, Middleeast Eye and the Canary. The rest of the UK media very carefully toed what you call “the official line”.

        Duh, indeed.
