Demonstrators flood Kings Cross to support 58-day Palestine hunger striker Heba

A large crowd of protesters flooded Kings Cross Station in London on 28 December, in support of anti-genocide hunger striker Heba Muraisi.

Kings Cross sees another protest

Muraisi is on hunger strike against Keir Starmer’s political imprisonment of her and 23 other activists to protect Israel. She has not eaten for 58 days and has not been able to stand for several days now. Famous hunger-striker Bobby Sands died after 66 days; the Starmer regime appears quite prepared to let her die:

The mass protest at Kings Cross was followed by a similar mass protest earlier at the Labour party’s headquarters.

Starmer and his ‘justice’ secretary David Lammy have been condemned by UN experts and by human rights groups. Despite the condemnation, they continue to refuse to meet the strikers’ legal representatives. Lammy notoriously fled a group of their supporters after lying that he knew nothing about their case.

The ‘Filton 24’ anti-genocide activists have been jailed for 19 months without trial. Many face a further wait of a year or more before their case is heard. Starmer has used terror laws to deny them bail, even though none of the group is charged with terror offences.

The government is waging a ‘lawfare’ war on activists and even journalists who expose and oppose Israel’s genocide in Gaza. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) involved the Israeli embassy in the decision to prosecute the Filton group.
