Nigel Farage has attracted criticism recently for avoiding the media. In the latest example of this, the man has posted a two-year old picture and used it to pretend he was out last night watching the football:

He's given up.

Reposting an image from two years ago; can't even be bothered to pretend he was watching England.

I'm only surprised that he didn't use Ai to make a false image — that seems to be Reform's latest trick. https://t.co/XtqothAh9G

Farage nursing a pint for 2 years

As we’ve reported, Farage has good reason to avoid being out in public:

In the runup to the local elections, Nigel Farage became suspiciously hard to get hold of. People suspected this was because we learned he neglected to declare a £5m ‘gift’ he received. It’s clear why people suspected this, because Farage only made things worse when asked him about the payment.

It’s 18 June now, and he’s still avoiding questions; presumably because he doesn’t have any good answers.

Here are the facts as laid down by Derbyshire:
1) Farage says he won’t run
2) crypto billionaire pays him £5mill
3) Farage U-turns and runs
4) Farage hides the donation
5) Farage announces if he wins the election he will slash capital gains tax for crypto firms

Same old same old https://t.co/ViEIFZkf3A

Farage is appearing outside, but he’s avoiding the media as much as possible – opting for stage-managed pictures instead:

There’s a non-zero chance he voted Restore by accident https://t.co/XVVS68YqzY

When he is facing questions, he’s losing his temper and lashing out:

I thought his answers on this were very strange, given he must have known the question was going to be asked. Was his opportunity to reach out to Restore voters. Chose to have a dig at Lowe and Musk instead. https://t.co/brGPB5NsmV

Farage brushes off his Pervy Plumbers Social media posts with the usual lies and deflection.
These comments were posted a decade ago – no they were not. The Carol Vorderman post was just 5 years ago.
They have been taken out of context – no they include self‑contained assertions,… pic.twitter.com/dU7kZ53Wd7

He’s also pretending to write 35,000 word essays as an excuse to not speak with journalists directly:

When are you going to write an essay about the £5m? https://t.co/AYE6vIUx9k

Regarding the football swindle, Farage’s hater-in-chief Mr Ethical had this to say:

It really is true. Exactly the same photo. This is what a fake patriot looks like. pic.twitter.com/YAr4981wtp

Drinks all round..

Mr Ethical – a.k.a. HSBC whistleblower Nicholas Wilson – has previously exposed Farage activities like the following:

The company Interior Architecture Landscape Limited that has donated £200k to Reform is a sham company. These images from its website claiming to be their designs are stock images. pic.twitter.com/cqbYB2f8xh

Running scared

It’s very easy to understand why Farage would want to avoid scrutiny; it’s less easy to understand how he’s going to sustain this until the next election. Saying that, Boris Johnson literally hid in a fridge in 2019, so who knows what people in this country will vote for?
