علاء شمالي صحفي ومحرر نشأ في فلسطين ويعيش حاليا في عُمان، حاصل على درجة الماجستير في الصحافة والإعلام ولديه خبرة واسعة في العمل الصحفي على امتداد 17 عام، نشرت أعماله في صحف فلسطينية وعربية.
خلال سنوات عمل شمالي على تغطية الكثير من الحروب التي وقعت في غزة كمنطقة نزاع مستمرة، وركز في عمله على القضايا الإنسانية والاجتماعية والرياضية.
بدأ شمالي الكتابة الصحفية في عام 2012 وحصل على البكالوريوس والماجستير في نفس التخصص، وتخصص في الإعلام الرياضي ولديه عضوية معتمدة من الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم FIFA وعمل على تغطية بطولات كبرى على مدار عدة سنوات أبرزها كأس العالم.
