The IOF has destroyed a convent and its school in southern Lebanon, in yet more attacks on Lebanese Christians by Israel.

The IDF almost demolished a Catholic convent in south Lebanon, and then attempted to excuse their actions by saying it just looked like any other building. Then they claimed it was being used by Hezbollah actually so it’s fine that they almost destroyed it. pic.twitter.com/0hrbEj8cWj

This is the true face of the Israeli occupation.

In Yaroun, southern Lebanon, the IDF demolished a monastery & a school run by the Sisters of the Holy Savior yesterday. They had already bombed the church days earlier.

The IOF bulldozed parts of the Catholic convent in the border village of Yaroun, which included a school.

According to L’Oeuvre d’Orient, a French Christian organisation, the building belonged to the Salvatorian Sisters, a Greek Catholic religious order.

In a statement, the group said:

L’Oeuvre d’Orient strongly condemns this deliberate act of destruction against a place of worship, as well as the systematic demolition of homes in southern Lebanon aimed at preventing the return of civilian populations

The charity also pointed out that the attack is part of a wider pattern of attacks on Christian heritage.

Israel attacking Christians

During Israel’s attacks on Lebanon in 2024, the IOF targeted Christian sanctuaries such as the Melkite churches in the villages of Yaroun and Derdghaya, both classified as part of Lebanon’s heritage.

As usual, the IOF claims Hezbollah was using the convent. The catholic church reinforced that:

These are places to spread peace, love and education. These are not military bases.

But this is a typical Israeli military tactic. Like we saw in Gaza, where it claimed schools and hospitals were Hamas bases. It is now doing the same in Lebanon.

The reality is, these are deliberate attempts to destroy Christian sites in South Lebanon.

For millennia, Christians lived safely in South Lebanon.

Yet in the last few weeks alone, the IOF has destroyed a statue of Jesus, torn down monasteries, and blown up the homes of Christians.

Christians lived safely in south Lebanon alongside Hizbullah for decades.

The Israeli army arrives and Christian homes are blown up, monasteries torn down, statues of Jesus smashed with sledgehammers. https://t.co/rapPjJArqL

In 2025, the IOF also bombed Gaza’s only catholic church, killing three people and wounding at least 10 others.

Only last week, an Israeli attacked a French nun in occupied Jerusalem.

Wadie Abunassar, the coordinator of the Holy Land Christian Forum, called attacks targeting Christians a growing phenomenon

Back in March, Israeli police stopped Christian faith leaders from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem to celebrate Palm Sunday Mass.

But reports from NBC News show that Jewish extremists have been targeting Christians in Jerusalem as far back as 2023.

Jewish supremacy

The whole world is capitulating to Jewish supremacy.

In London, the government and the Met Police ignore muslim victims because of ‘antisemitism’. The US government is threatening to ban Belgian politicians from the World Cup over the same thing. And in Germany, an arson attack against an ‘antisemitism commissioner’ turned out to be a case study in the Israel lobby’s own antisemitism smear tactics.

Meanwhile, Israel carpet bombs Gaza and southern Lebanon, occupies Syria — including of course targeting Christians. The illegal-settler colonial state is proving to the world, time after time, why Zionism should not exist. Yet no one is listening.
