In just the past 48 hours Israel has slaughtered around the region yet still acts like it’s the victim

In the past forty-eight hours or so, Israel has bombed:

• Gaza – levelling “at least fifty” (Netanyahu’s own boast) residential towers and killed hundreds of people
• Syria in at least three areas – Homs, Latakia and Palmyra
• Lebanon in at least two areas – Hermel, Bekaa
• Tunisia – attacking a humanitarian vessel just off the coast
• Qatar – bombing a building in an attempt to assassinate Palestinian peace negotiators

Israel: acting with impunity

None of these attacks was provoked and they come as the latest in a long line of one-sided attacks on its neighbours and other countries around the region. It has also bombed Yemen and slaughtered much of its government because Yemen’s Ansar Allah rulers dare to try to fulfil international law and prevent genocide.

Yet Israel still acts like it’s the victim – and its collaborators in the US and UK governments continue to claim that it’s other nations and governments that are a ‘threat to stability’ and that those in the US and UK who protest against its genocide in Gaza are the terrorists and haters.

Right…

Top story on “YOUR BBC” is family reunion between Harry and C3.

Is it ME? FFS this is just like 1984.

We have the leader of a mass murdering genocidal country having tea and cucumber sandwiches as even today another half century of Palestinians and they don’t even get a mention, whilst 6 Israelis killed on a bus saw wall-to-wall coverage, life stories and “Oh isn’t it terrible?”

Just close the BBC. There is no reason to keep funding the drivel you might read in the weekly magazines aimed at the over 70s (and I’m soon going to be over-80!)

    “Israel Acts with impunity”

The open question which needs consideration is how far this impunity goes geographically with a large core of fanatical zealots with a history which includes:

    – The attack on the USS Liberty with the collusion of the White House – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_X3LQfDYrQ
    – Terrorist bombings in Britain
    – The hanging of British Service personnel in Palestine.

Here’s Alistair Crooke early in this podcast – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtZr_v4rWBo&ab_channel=DialogueWorks

““There are no rules, there are no limitations, there are no constraints, now, on Israel. It goes where it wants, it ignores boundaries, it ignores frontiers. It just goes where it wants, it uses force where it wants, it will decapitate where it can, and there is nothing that is stopping it, and certainly nothing from Washington that is stopping it……

……So its a new era. We have unlimited war in the Middle East. That is now established. They will go anywhere, attack anywhere in order to further Israeli interests ….”

The point being that the reaction of those who, like mardy five-year-olds who are used to always having their own way, increasing opposition and pushback among large sections of the Western populace is likely not to be limited to ordering Western Government’s to proscribe opposition as terrorism and other such lawfare which is still quite low on the escalatory ladder.

The trajectory strongly suggests that at some point in time, escalation towards violence against opponents of this impunity will most certainly take place. The most likely source being local homegrown proxies like the various far right groups such as the EDL and similar.

On the question of exploiting far right groups – this weekends far right jamboree in London will, I’m certain, feature quite a few Israeli flags. They seem to have replaced nazi flags, a trend I first noticed around 2019
