Video: race-hate thugs set fire to Peacehaven mosque

Racist thugs have set fire to Peacehaven mosque in East Sussex – and got caught on camera:

Shocking footage shared with Sussex News appears to show the building being deliberately set alight. The video shows a man wearing a face covering placing flammable material at the entrance of the mosque before igniting it. Flames quickly spread, and the footage also captures the dramatic escape of a male who was inside at the time, managing to get out safely.

Peacehaven Mosque community:’We resist’

The attack comes in the wake of Islamophobic – and anti-Semitic – incitement by the government, police bosses, and the UK Israel lobby against peaceful protesters against Israel’s genocide in Gaza. The attack on the mosque follows an apparent terror attack on a Manchester synagogue in which police admitted shooting two synagogue-goers, killing one.

The al-Adli Justice Centre in Peacehaven said of the attack:

Our mosque has been targeted in a far-right arson attack. The same forces spreading hate here back occupation and violence in Palestine.

We defend our communities. We stand in solidarity. We resist.
