Your party co-founders Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana appeared together at the launch of Your Party Merseyside and both spoke forcefully of the need for a real alternative and real change in British politics.

And while the packed crowd of well over 800 local members of the new party were hugely enthusiastic, during a Q&A session at the end they wanted to know that there would be no repeat of the rows that have marred recent weeks. Both Corbyn and Sultana appeared ready to acknowledge their mistakes and gave an assurance that such nonsense was behind them:
