Coventry South MP Zarah Sultana has left ‘Your Party’s founding conference in Liverpool almost as soon as she arrived, boycotting the first day of the conference after the party machine decided yesterday to exclude Socialist Workers Party (SWP) members from membership of the new party.

Sultana said that the move to expel people from the conference was ‘disappointing’ and reminiscent of the witch-hunts conducted by the Labour right under Keir Starmer. She added that this is not what the party is supposed to stand for — as this clip provided by Aron Mafi shows:

Zarah Sultana has further events in Liverpool this evening, but it remains to be seen whether she will be at — or even allowed at — the conference when it resumes tomorrow.

Sultana’s demands and chaotic actions are hardly democratic. The people of this country urgently need YourParty to succeed.

Your Party is being turned into Labour Party mark 2. What a terrible waste of a great opportunity to create a Democratic Party.

If you want a democratic, left leaning party join the Greens. No infighting, a vision for the future, and egalitarian principles. Hope not hate.

“Left leaning” isn’t the same as being on the left.

The Greens voted away their opposition to NATO (bringinging them in line with the other war mongering parties) and more recent developments have questioned how democratic they really are.

So Your Party welcomes anyone! Except the far right and anyone else it doesn’t like.

Oh, and it’s going to be run by a collective, not its founders. This is probably a good thing as Corbyn and Sultana plainly don’t get on. Other founders didn’t like them either.

Your Party should now refund everyone in full who has contributed and call it a day.

It isn’t going anywhere so just end its misery before it gets into even more trouble. I can see a whole raft of legal actions on the way.,

We all know those who think YP should call it a day – before its even started.

      We recognize their motives.
