Media monitor demands parity in reporting of Zionist attack on Palestine Mission

The Centre for Media Monitoring (CFMM), which works against Islamophobia and bias in media reporting, has demanded parity in the media’s treatment of racist attacks after a Zionist mob attacked the Palestinian Mission to the UK — effectively the Palestinian embassy — in London last weekend.

CCTV images show the flag-waving mob as it vandalised the mission:

In a statement on X, the Palestinian Mission UK described what had happened and the apparent inaction of the authorities:

At 13:43 on Saturday, 29 November 2025, a group of individuals, mostly masked, carrying Israeli flags trespassed and vandalised the premises of the Palestinian Embassy in London. We have formally requested the British authorities to provide immediate and comprehensive protection for the embassy and our personnel from such attacks.

We call on them to investigate this incident fully and hold those responsible accountable. To those responsible, we say clearly: Your actions will not deter us. We will continue to advance Palestine-UK relations and defend the rights and lives of the Palestinian people.

The CFMM sarcastically echoed the call, but targeting the media’s lack of interest in covering the attack — a massive disparity compared to the wall-to-wall, twenty-four-hour rolling news coverage that would have followed an attack by Palestine supporters on Israel’s embassy:

We look forward to the British Media covering this despicable attack on the Palestinian Mission by Israeli supporting thugs with the same urgency and disgust they exhibit at any anti-Israeli action both violent or peaceful.

In 2025 alone the “Israeli Embassy” has been mentioned over 1000 times at an average of 89 times a month across the online British Media. The “Palestinian Embassy” in the meantime a total of 29 times.

The CFMM’s chart showing the disparity in media treatment.

A CFMM spokesperson told Skwawkbox:

CfMM’s studies reveal clear bias in the BBC and British media’s coverage of Israel’s war on Gaza. Palestinian suffering is downplayed, Israeli victims are amplified, context on occupation is omitted, and pro-Palestinian protesters are mischaracterised as violent and antisemitic. This attack on the Palestinian Embassy by pro-Israeli supporters is abhorrent. If the roles were reversed, condemnation would be immediate—whether this story will receive equal media attention remains to be seen.”

In fact, the media have given extensive coverage to supposed danger to Israel’s fascist ambassador Tzipi Hotovely that never happened, since anti-genocide activists are overwhelmingly peaceful — and UK authorities have responded pre-emptively to ban protests at that embassy despite the complete lack of any threat.

In the UK, as elsewhere, the thugs are Israel’s agents and supporters but this is ignored by ‘mainstream’ media, while massive, peaceful protests by those who object to Israel’s slaughter of 700,000 Palestinians, including more than half a million children are demonised as ‘hate mobs’ and the UK state works to criminalise as well as demonise.
