Watch: Israeli state media — Israel’s Beirut forced displacement aims to trigger civil war

Israeli politicians and media have a long history of being more open in Hebrew than in English. Netanyahu and his fellow fascists deny crimes and aims in English that they boast about in Hebrew. Former defence minister Yoav Gallant admitted Israel killed hundreds of Israelis on 7 October 2023 in repeated ‘Hannibal’ attacks. He even wished there had been more. Israeli media acknowledged the same fact within a few weeks of 7 October — a fact still stubbornly ignored by their UK counterparts.

And now KAN — Israeli state media — has admitted that the aim of Israel’s illegal forced transfer order to Lebanese residents of southern Beirut is intended to trigger civil war. In a country ravaged by a US/Israel/French-driven civil war, for fifteen years from 1975–1990, that killed 150,000 people and displaced over a million.

The “Zionism Observer” X account pointed to a post by the broadcaster’s correspondent of a video clip from one of its current affairs programmes on X. It commented:

Israelis openly admit (in Hebrew) that their forced displacement orders are designed to cause sectarian clashes.

The full quoted text reads:

From the Edition: After the mass evacuation from Dahiyeh in Beirut following the IDF warning, a political figure in Lebanon identified with the anti-Hezbollah camp tells Kan News that the most important thing from the Lebanese perspective is that Israel does not strike civilian targets of the Lebanese state and that the focus will be on Hezbollah targets. So far, Israel is managing the event wisely. Striking civilian targets would play into Hezbollah’s hands in terms of public opinion, which currently leans against it.

Another point: The mass evacuation from Dahiyeh to other areas carries the potential for friction between Hezbollah supporters and members of other sects who are less enthusiastic about Hezbollah’s intervention on behalf of Iran.

The shared video clip, translated and subtitled into English is below:

Israel is the destabiliser of West Asia and the malignant threat to all its neighbours. Western politicians and media are its enablers in their determined ignorance and silence.
