Filmmaker Adderley says he will seek legal advice as Greens capitulate again

Filmmaker, anti-genocide campaigner and Green Party candidate Mark Adderley has reacted with fury to smears from Israel fanatic Labour front-bencher Steve Reed. He has also blasted the Green Party administration for (again) capitulating to fake antisemitism smears from Reed and the Israel lobby media.

The Greens have again fallen for Labour’s and the Israel lobby’s desperate and arrogant attempts to dictate who can stand against Labour. Adderley was the Green candidate for Crystal Palace and Upper Norwood in London’s Croydon — a hotbed of Labour corruption unfortunate enough to have Reed as its MP.

But now the party has caved to a blatantly political — and libellous — smear by Reed and others and has suspended Adderley. His ‘crime’, apparently, was to criticise wanted war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu. And, allegedly, he wondered, on the YouTube channel he runs with his wife Nadia Sawalha — like millions of others — whether Israel was involved in the assassination of US right-winger Charlie Kirk.

Kirk had said he was going to end his support for the genocidal colony and feared Israel would kill him.

Israel lobby worried

It seems Adderley’s candidacy seriously worried the Israel lobby. It has targeted him with a clearly-coordinated series of smears and hit-pieces, including one in the Times. Its author, Israel advocate Fintan Hogan, helped Israel deny murdering 500 Palestinian civilians in a missile attack on the Al-Ahli hospital in 2023. The attack was subsequently forensically proven to have been perpetrated by Israel, one of hundreds of Israeli war crimes against hospitals, medics and ambulances.

For the Times, Hogan attacked Adderley for daring to compare Benjamin Netanyahu’s racist ‘Greater Israel’ project with Hitler’s ‘Lebensraum’ (‘room to live’) plans. Also cited were other views Adderley mentioned that are now entirely mainstream — except in the pro-Israel ‘mainstream’ media and lobby groups, of course. Like the idea that the Israel lobby’s constant conflation of Jewish people with the terrorist colony puts Jews in danger.

The same attacks were amplified by the ‘usual suspects’ in the pro-Israel smear industry. Libel-factory and “dauphin of phone-hacking” Lee Harpin had to get in on the act, of course, after years of spouting a “litany of lies” against left-wingers that cost his previous rag huge libel payouts. Harpin posited that Adderley is part of a Green “antisemitism problem” — familiar language, eh? — that is even “worse than feared”.

And pro-Israel Labour horror Reed — of course — chipped in. Reed, with typical arrogance, demanded that the Greens bow to his ‘Labour’ call to withdraw Adderley and another local candidate for daring to oppose Israel’s crimes:

Adderley hits back

But it seems that Harpin, his new rag, and a number of others — including the odious Reed — may be about to add to the heap of cash paid out to wronged and smeared left-wingers. In a withering post on his Instagram feed he poured scorn on the despicable Reed — and he said he will be suing those who have libelled him:

I am disgusted. Truly, deeply, viscerally disgusted.

Labour Cabinet Minister Steve Reed MP has had the audacity to level accusations of antisemitism and racism against me.

Let me be CRYSTAL clear: I have spent my entire life fighting racism in all its forms. I have stood shoulder to shoulder with Jewish friends, comrades, and communities against genuine hatred. But Steve Reed’s pathetic, blood-soaked government has and continues to directly assist in the genocide of the Palestinian people, the slaughter of Lebanese civilians, and the indiscriminate killing of Iranian men, women & children.

He is a “politician” knee deep in atrocity who spends more time smearing humanitarians than he does calling out the behaviour of Netanyahu’s government. And now, to add insult to injury, I learn that, having only recently joined the Green Party with hope in my heart, I have been suspended. Suspended because the Green Party has seemingly folded to the same false allegations, weaponised smears and cowardly lies that The Labour Party has thrown at me.

The complaint against me (like recent articles in the legacy media) conflates anti-Zionism with a hatred of Jewish people. It takes issue with my opposition to Netanyahu, a wanted war criminal leading a far-right Zionist government that is overseeing a genocide. It even twists my statements on NATO expansion and warmongering into so-called “conspiracy theories”. I have never supported Putin. I have never supported war. But by simply pointing out that decades of NATO aggression has helped create the conditions for conflict is not conspiracy. It is history and I refuse to apologise for speaking truth to power.

This complaint is not only disgusting in its cynical weaponisation of racism accusations, but (like Steve Reed and the Labour Party’s accusations) they are also defamatory & libellous and I will be seeking legal advice. It mocks every genuine victim of antisemitism. It cheapens their struggle. And it insults every antiracist who has ever risked everything or anything for justice.

His words for the Green Party machine were scarcely less furious:

I genuinely thought The Green Party was supposed to be different, and was promising a beacon of hope in the dark, ugly world of British Party Politics. Instead, they have fallen at what feels like the first hurdle in Labour’s attempts to recreate the Corbyn antisemitism psychodrama of some years ago. If we are to change politics for the good, we must do things differently. We must be unafraid to say what establishment politics has disallowed: that Zionism is racism, that opposing a fascistic, apartheid state is not racism, it is not antisemitic, it is not conflating all Jewish People with the Netanyahu Regime — and that standing with the oppressed should NEVER be something to suspend someone for.

Adderley made clear that he has no intention of being cowed by the cynical smears of the friends of genocide — even if the Greens’ administrators don’t find a spine:

So let me be CRYSTAL clear … I will NOT STOP

I will not stop campaigning for a free Palestine. I will not stop demanding a liberated Arab World from Gaza to the West Bank, from Lebanon to Iran and beyond. I will NOT stop calling out this Labour Government’s complicity and I will NOT be bullied by Govt Ministers who say nothing other than they are “DEEPLY CONCERNED”,

I would have preferred to do this inside the Green Party (a party I believed would have understood the nuance in these sorts of attacks that have been levelled at me) but I will pursue these goals outside the party if necessary. This is just the beginning. The fightback carries on.

But there was room for just a touch of humour at the end. In a post-script, Adderley admitted that one complaint against him had been upheld — but this one he seemed quite proud of: a few choice words for the Labour “fuck-wads” ruining the country and collaborating in genocide and a war of aggression:

p.s. whilst l’m here … one of the other complaints lodged against me (and being upheld) is me describing the Labour Cabinet as being populated with “FUCKWADS in TIES” … well … as the last 24 hours have proven … there is definitely one “fuck-wad in a tie” who really doesn’t know when to shut up.

Peace & Love … Free Palestine
Mark Adderley

The Greens must get their act together — or go the way of Corbyn’s Labour. There is even less excuse for capitulation to the Israel lobby’s smear campaign when two and a half years of genocide in Gaza have exposed that racist, murderous ideology for what it is.

Thank you Mark Adderley… for speaking truth loudly and without apology.
Plus thank you because I am tired of long vacuous replies from my MP repeatedly saying he is ” “DEEPLY CONCERNED”/ very worried/ when contacted re Gaza and all things Palestine. The same replies which contain not one specific action taken by the Labour Party to make Israel accountable for its many illegal actions as defined under the under UN Charter & International law.. This includes using water, food and medicine as collective punishment and the annexing of land for settler colonialisation.
Seeing this phrase identified as used by “…Govt Ministers who say nothing other than they are “DEEPLY CONCERNED” has made it much clearer why my MP…and doubtless many others, will not give answers to straightforward questions ….. because they are all part of the problem…and as ,will no doubt be shown in time, .complicit in the support of genocide and the breaking of international law.
Bigger shame the Green Party and Zac Polanski have not yet woken up to the truth about Israel / Israeli lobbyists and their inhumane and illegal actions and criticism of which has nothing to do with antisemitism .
Anyone needing evidence have a look at the ironic Apartheid Adventures.. ..a series of films which cleverly expose what Israel have been up to for decades ..look at the dates the films were made…well before October 2023…

Read Paul Holden’s book The Fraud – Keir Starmer, Morgan McSweeney & the Crisis of British Democracy. Steve Reed features heavily as one of the key architects of the biggest political Con Job in recent history…..destroying any opposition to, and installing, a right wing, Reform leaning so-called Labour Government under the ‘leadership’ of its willing puppet Keir Starmer. Key tactic – accuse anyone not sharing its views of anti-semititism. Reed, McSweeney & Imran Ahmed ruthlessly & anonymously used this as ap tool to undermine Corbyn’s leadership. Steve Reed is at it again. This time publicly. If you are perceived as a threat there is little this cabal has not done & will not do to destroy genuine people with genuinely held views. I am not, and never have been, a member of the Labour Party but I recognise when our democracy is under threat. McSweeney & co have lied, duplicitously failed to declare funding, employed US PR operators to attempt to ‘dig up dirt’ on journalists investigating their activities & ruthlessly imposed authoritarian bureaucracy to purge any opposition to their right wing political project. Puppet-master McSweeney has ostensibly been forced out of back room power. I would urge anyone with an interest in protecting our democracy to also read up on the backgrounds & machinations of politicians Wes Streeting, Josh Simons, Rachel Reeves & Sabana Mahmood. The voting public, Labour MPs seeking to bridge party factional divisions & the grassroots Labour membership have been consistently lied to about what Starmer represented & the policies he planned to introduce. Now is the time for accountability & a major re-think of our first passed the post system of voting.

The fact Zack Polanski is a liberal zionist and has power over the Greens show the Greens cannot be trusted to oust zionist corruption from within our government. If the Greens couldn’t oust even a lone zionist from within their own party, then they never were going to oust a single one outside of it.

        Controlled Opposition.

Canary should be ashamed for giving the pro-genocider ConOp any extra airtime on their publication.

Keep fighting Mark, you have a huge amount of people following you and want you to stand, the truth will come out, this Labour party has joined the dirty politics campaign and will stop at nothing, they do not work for the people but will take anything and everything they can from the people. The public deserve better than this, Steve Reed should stand down.

Mark. All part of a process…As someone suspended from the Labour Party for so called anti semitism several years ago now, I can see the truly evil and hollow outrage behind these thugs. At the time, I was terribly upset at being called an anti semite. Now I understand that it was pure power. Yes…fight on. In a few years we will all see that every suspension every imprisonment was a rung on the ladder. We will eventually get there but no joy to be had just yet. While we in the UK get suspended, lives are destroyed in Palestine Lebanon and elsewhere.

I had considered joining the Green party as I did tge Labour party under Corbyn but it looks like they’re just cosplaying at being the new hope this country’s politics required. Too gutless to tell the Zionists and fake antisemitism paddlers to go to hell.
    Disappointing but not surprising.

There are many people within the Green Party appalled by the disciplinary actions taken against Mark Adderley, Saiqa Ali and Tony Greenstein.

Our local branch are protesting to the hierarchy and offering solidarity to our comrades. We need people of conscience to join in and get involved if we want to change anything. Do not get discouraged by the first setbacks. It is a rocky road and there will be challenges but if we don’t stand together we will achieve nothing.

“There are many people within the Green Party appalled by the disciplinary actions taken against Mark Adderley, Saiqa Ali and Tony Greenstein.”

Then why are they still part of the party then?

Why haven’t they ousted liberal zionist Zack Polanski? If there’s that many, why did they even elect Zack Polanski knowing he’s a zionist in the first place?!

Bullshit complacency. I already knew the party was zionist the moment they elected him. You shall not have my vote no matter how many lies you spew.

We need a truly Anti-Zionist party in this country. It seems every other evil – corruption, genocide, war, trade disputes – stems from it.

Pardon me for saying, but antisemitism has risen under Starmer’s Labour government, not under Zack Polanski.

Of course there are various reasons why it’s on the increase, and it seems to be going up everywhere. It’s gone up under the last 5 PMs in the UK and in the USA under Trump and Biden before him, but I can’t help but notice the finger pointing always goes AWAY from government, never towards it, or the media, for their part they may have played or are playing.

The US antisemitism envoy recently said millions had been spent fighting it but it’s still on the rise there.

Now could it be maybe, just maybe, that their tactics are simply wrong? The US envoy’s remedy is more of the same. Starmer’s remedy too, is more of the same – even harder ‘clamping down’ over protests re. spurious ‘offences’ but no real questions asked what might just possibly be going wrong: the same media false claims, jumping-to-the-gun judgements about events, labelling, name-calling, hypocrisy – you name it.

How about *narrowing* the definition? This isn’t being facetious or trying to manipulate statistics. It’s about tightening up on the real, dictionary definition stuff, not the things which cannot be proven to have harmed a single jewish person through its being said in a modern-day application by one ‘offending’ person. A/s wd drop statistically over night, surely. It’s not cheating, it’s about a feel good factor of it “falling” for once instead of increasing; about reducing “fear”, instead of seemingly actively working to increase it as the media do.

What about ditching the Left/Right a/s thing? Half the world (ie. the “accused half”) merely walk away as half a class (metaphorically) wd do if rules were applied unfairly at school.

How about the powers that be ditching the hypocrisy and inconsistency too? Hypocrisy: How absurd that a gvt minister who once talked of “puppet strings” is now lecturing Britain’s only jewish party leader. Inconsistency: compare treatment of Diane Abbott with those on the Right of Labour when they’ve ‘fallen foul’. Again. Ppl are just walking away, often taking their votes with them.

I’m possibly preaching to the converted here, I know. But anyone who disagrees re. any of the above are free to do so. But take note. Nothing will change if governments, political parties and those who shout the loudest about antisemitism don’t listen. They are the ones shouting loudest about it. THEY need to listen. Nothing will change until they do. Zionists in government have had their chance to make changes but they have – on their own admission – failed, as they tell us that a/s is on the rise, not decline.

…and I didn’t even mention the Middle East.

I will not support any party which is complicit with the terrorist Zionist and their constant abuse and blatant disregard of human rights. By their actions or lack of, they are complicit with inhuman acts such as prisoners such as the rape of of men by trained dogs. I didn’t think that anything could could shock and disgust me any more, but this is a new low for the despicable inhumane zionists

We have a hierarchy of racism in the uk. Forde told of it and was dismissed. This week a white man walked into a Liverpool mosque shouting that he kills N….rs and P..is and I had to email the Liverpool echo to get a piece wrote. Thankfully they did. The bbc didn’t get back to me. If this had been a brown mqn in a synagogue shouting he kills jews it would be headline news. We are ZOUK. The zionist occupied united kingdom. Im disgusted at all mps and parties at this point.

In this case it should be obvious that this is a politically motivated complaint. We are not talking about an individual who has been insulted or abused by an individual green member.
The greens need to get a handle on this and quickly or their membership will start to go down.
Polanski has spoken many times about his anti zionism however the greens are now seen as a major threat to the status quo and so we are seeing the weoponisation of zionism to bring us down.
This is not a surprise and systems should have been put in place to deal with spurious and politically motivated claims as well as infiltration by zionists.
Going from a small fringe party that could be dismissed as cuddly middle class tree huggers and yoghurt knitters to a potential government has put the wind up the establishment and they will use every trick in the book to bring us down.
If we leave the party before it has a chance to get to grips with this issue and reform it’s internal systems they have won.
I sincerely hope that Adderly wins his libel case and Reed et al have to back down.
But of course, this takes time and will not be resolved before the locals. This means that labour will have achieved one of it’s goals to protect the seat from an embarrassing loss to the greens.

This expulsion is ridiculous considering Polanski is openly critical of Zionism, Israel and the Gaza genocide which is more than can be said fof any of the leaders of other mainstream parties.
Those on here waiting for the pure anti-Zionist party will have a long wait. Corbyn trashed Your Party with his control freakery and indecisiveness much like he squandered the 2019 election.
Hopefully we can build a Left alliance that includes everyone from reformist to revolutionary socialist. Rather than build a tiny and irrelevant party that passes some Left purity test.
And if anyone is going to vote for the Far Right or fascists here in the UK it’ll be the Zionists so avoid giving them any more support and encouragement. They already have fascists in the Israeli government so no change there.
Vote Green with no illusions and fight to get Mark Adderley reinstated.
