Labour ‘sources’ demands end to speculation fuelled by hapless Starmer himself

So-called Labour ‘sources’ have petulantly demanded an end to the “endless drama” of speculation about when Keir Starmer’s blighted ‘leadership’ will finally be put out of its our misery. This, he reckons, is all just a distraction.

Where exactly does he think that drama is coming from?

Labour: the call is coming from inside the house

Starmer’s appalling politics, his war on UK freedoms to protect Israel and his endless assault on the UK’s most vulnerable people mean that the country is desperate to be rid of him. The resulting expectation that Labour will be beaten to a pulp in many areas in May 2026 local elections means commentators expect a ‘leadership’ challenge on Friday as soon as the results start to come in.

This speculation has been fuelled, comedically, by Starmer’s health secretary and even oilier mini-me Wes Streeting. Streeting didn’t just put together a plan for his leadership bid ahead of the local elections. Oh no. He – or to be charitable, ‘an aide’ – accidentally texted it to Number 10, alerting Starmer to the sharpening knives.

We’d all love an end to the ‘drama’. The politically-awake know that whoever might take over from him in his rigged, nepotistic and rotting corpse of a party will be as bad or worse and just as useless. We know that anyone who isn’t will never be allowed near getting into a leadership contest, let alone winning it. To us, a change of greasy drone is a non-event, nothing worth getting wound up over.

If Starmer really wants an end to the drama, it’s no use him demanding it. Just quit and get it over with, and let the next toxic clown take their turn until the next general election. That event, whenever it’s triggered, might just be worth some excitement.
