Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana have officially launched their new political party, which members will name at conference, according to a post on X. But no, it’s not called “Your Party”.

It’s time for a new kind of political party – one that belongs to you.

Unlike Reform, we’re doing things differently with democracy & inclusivity at the core.

From the launch to the party, conference, structures & yes – even the name! – we’re building it together.

It might feel unfamiliar to you. It’s called democracy.

It’s not “Your Party” – well, it is, but y’know…

A statement posted on X said:

Sign up at www.yourparty.uk to be part of the founding process, leading to an inaugural conference. At this conference, you will decide the party’s direction, the model of leadership and the policies that are needed to transform society. That is how we build a democratic movement that can take on the rich and powerful – and win.

Immediately, both Sky News and Politics Joe picked up on the story, claiming it would be named ‘Your Party’. No Politics Joe, it’s not ‘Your Party’, it’s a very naughty boy. There was some confusion on X over this, prompting X users to add a community note to the post:

It’s not called Your Party!

— Zarah Sultana MP (@zarahsultana) July 24, 2025

It seems that this name is just a placeholder until one is formally and democratically decided. You can sign up here.

Party McPartyface?

This might finally be the real alternative that the left needs.

Just signed up. The original Corbyn movement radicalised me but it also showed that, unless you break with the capitalist system, the capitalist system will break you.

No compromise with the establishment! Now is the time to be bold! Real change must mean a socialist revolution! https://t.co/wf7SwgNP1p

— Rui Cardoso (@ruicardoso1995) July 24, 2025

We live in a rigged system and it’s time for people to mobilise in a national movement, one that really will try to make things better for everyone instead of just spouting bile to make you angry. Make hope stronger than anger. https://t.co/9A8o5gm92c #yourparty #realchange https://t.co/QZO5jn3YeK

— Z of the Rock 🪨🇬🇬 (@ZJesiah1510) July 24, 2025

The important thing, though, is that the name really doesn’t matter.

I don’t think the British establishment realises that Corbyn could launch Party McPartyface and millions of people, fed up with billionaires trying to narrow their choice to charlatans without principles, will happily join and vote for the real change and hope he represents

— Eoghan Ó Finn (@FinnEoghan) July 24, 2025

Please please call “your party”

As always, the right-wing racists came out in force.

Corbyn launches new party.

— Tommy Robinson 🇬🇧 (@TRobinsonNewEra) July 24, 2025

Along with the shit-stirring, right-wing media.

Jezbollah ?
Is that some sort of mean girls joke you thought would be edgy & everyone would think how clever?
Have you tried actually being a journalist & analysing why there’s already a surge of interest in it?
I know you haven’t.
You’re not 15 & this isn’t school.
Grow up. https://t.co/hZ4HDGEkoX

— muttly (@muttlysaid) July 24, 2025

No one cares about the fucking name

It’s only been five hours since the announcement was made, and already, 80,000 people have already signed up.

In just over 5 hours, 80,000 people have signed up to help build a new kind of political party.

The establishment is already rattled.

This is just the beginning.

Party name chaos aside, at this point, Corbyn and Sultana could actually dub it *Labour 2.0* and the Left would flock to it in droves. With Labour a lost cause under McSweeney’s *cough *, we mean Starmer’s *cough * leadership, a new party like this can’t come soon enough.
