Trump says ‘I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation’
At this point, Donald Trump seems to be running the Democrats’ campaign to win the next election himself. How else do you explain comments like this:

So Trump, what happened to ‘America first’?
In the clip above, Trump is asked if he thinks about Americans’ financial situation when he’s negotiating with Iran. He responds:
Not even a little bit. The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran, they can’t have a nuclear weapon. I don’t think about financial situation. I don’t think about anybody. I think about one thing. We cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon. That’s all. That’s the only thing that matters.
This would be a good line for him to take if anyone believed the war was actually about stopping Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. As people have responded, however:
Totally unacceptable. He doesn’t give a shit about us. He only cares about Israel, because they bribed him, and very likely have blackmail on him. We need to have an American president! Someone who cares about Americans, instead of just super wealthy supporters of Israel.

As the BBC reported on 12 May:
US prices rose in April at their fastest rate since May 2023 as the impact of the war in Iran was increasingly felt by consumers.
A jump in the cost of gasoline and groceries pushed the consumer price index (CPI), showing the rate prices rose by in the past 12 months, to 3.8%.
It is the highest level since inflation hit 4% three years ago.
Meanwhile, the US’s big hope is to get things back to where they were before Trump and Israel’s disastrous assault on Iran:

It’s also worth remembering that the US already had a successful nuclear deal with Iran. The reason it isn’t still standing is because Trump ripped it up. And now, of course, Iran has more reason than ever to pursue a nuclear weapons programme.

Actually, most of this current inflation is coming from his failed tariff policies, as it takes 3-6 months for most effects to trickle through. His failed Iran policy will add several more points, just before the midterms.
Of course, we could have had the other narcissist, the wordsalad airhead Killary Clinton puppet instead, but not much would have been different… the Empire is going down, and the marionettes in the WH (And all the other Western capitals) do what they are ordered to do, surrounded by courtiers with the ability of… well, just look at Western countries and we can see how much ability there is in our regimes.
Idiocracy’s Trump isn’t an aberration – look at BloJo, Truss, Schmertz, Micron, Starver, et bloody al.
Asimov’s Foundation series (The actual books) makes it clear that when large Empire’s fall, it isn’t just the idiocy of the current rulers – it’s the corruption embedded at every level. No Corbyn’s can get through, and if they do, every system in the regime prevents them from reversing the trends.
Shame we’ve got enough WMDs stored to wipe out the entire planet several times over. We didn’t have to worry about THAT when the execrable Roman Empire fell.
