Labour concedes an own goal in blocking Labour councillor from re-standing over Gaza and pro-trade union stance

The people of London stand ready to deliver a decisive blow to Keir Starmer’s Labour Party, as voters across the capital — and much of the UK — move to remove Labour councillors from office and turn their backs on a party that abandoned them long ago.

However, remaining socialist MP’s and councillors within the Labour Party are possibly the last ray of hope attracting votes for the corrupted party in the faint hope they might one day take the party back for the working class.

Nevertheless, the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) has chosen to block a sitting socialist councillor from restanding in the local election. Jumbo Chan has been a Labour councillor for Harlesden and Kensal Green in Brent for over a decade.

According to Chan, he has been banned specifically because:

of my role in co-authoring a pro-trade union open letter and coordinating hundreds of Labour colleagues urging Starmer to call for a ceasefire in Gaza.

As a result, this is yet another sign that Starmer has not learned, and likely will never, that the one redeeming factor his party have is its remaining socialists. Without them, Starmer’s Labour truly is toast.

Chan’s blocking is undoubtedly yet another nail in that electoral coffin.

After serving as a Labour councillor for over a decade, I have been blocked the party’s NEC from restanding tomorrow because of my role in co-authoring a pro-trade union open letter, and coordinating hundreds of Labour colleagues urging Starmer to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. https://t.co/R6RE7uzjBr

Hyper-factionalism: a profound danger says Chan

Despite the Labour Party having long, proud roots within the trade union movement representing the working class, it appears its foundational principles are now offensive to the party’s decision-makers. Nevertheless, Labour’s socialist and centrist politicians are refusing to go quietly.

Yesterday, much to the sniveling of Labour, Andy Burnham, Mayor of Manchester, and socialist MP Clive Lewis made no efforts to keep their own protest quiet. This earned significant respect and likely restored a sense of hope among many traditional Labour voters.

Now, after being blocked from standing, Chan is also not for mincing his words:

I will never retract my public support for trade unions nor innocent children.

Adding:

But by stabbing at Labour’s historic broad church, the clique orbiting Starmer has – as the party faces great peril as forewarned by
@AndyBurnhamGM – damaged the party’s best chance to course correct.

Striking a similar tone to Burnham and Lewis’ public calls for open dialogue between centrist and left-wing politicians, attending an event in the near future in this same spirit alongside Green Party politicians, Chan appeared to agree:

The hyper-factionalism which has underscored Starmer’s leadership has created a profound danger of Labour transmuting into an institution dominated by what I would call the NPC politician, a phenomenon which I have detailed for @LabourHub

Powerfully finishing by saying:

Labour’s founders foresaw over a century ago that our party would only succeed if it reflected the broadest traditions of British socialism and the working class.

After tomorrow, I will be working hard to restore our historic pluralism, and continue arguing for socialist ideas.

Consequently, this will likely shatter what remains of the party’s progressive support, as many members and voters begin questioning why they should continue giving their time, energy, and loyalty to the Labour Party at all.

Labour is blinded by Israel and its lucrative, pro-genocide profits

An assumption that becomes all the more palpable when you look at some of the comments received by Chan on his X post.

Matt Zarb-Cousin praised Chan and said:

A great guy, a committed councillor and a big loss to the now unrecognisable Labour Party.

And another:

Another X user commented:

Labour are irredeemable.

They are no longer a vehicle for Social Justice and never will be again.

Terrible indictment of Starmer’s Labour Party that it has driven from office @JumboChan an excellent, thoughtful & dedicated councillor in Brent for over a decade

Jumbo is one of all too many who have fallen victim to Starmer’s unthinking, stupid, destructive authoritarianism https://t.co/hvaYBDUhx7

Vote Green or Independent — The establishment has abandoned you

It’s all well and good to find some solace in watching Labour get its just desserts at the ballot box, as people across the country rightly recognise that the party has long forgotten them, and clearly is in no rush to remember who afforded them their power and privilege. However, when that makes it easier for other bad actors like Nigel Farage and Reform to take power, Labour’s abandonment of the public at large just stings that much more painfully.

Therefore, it is crucial that people get out and vote for progressive politics instead and kick billionaire-funded, genocide-enabling parties to the curb once and for all.

The UK has seen thousands of progressive independent and Green Party candidates step forward as they recognise, and live, the same struggles and inherent disappointment that is pretty characteristic of life in the UK.

Well, if you haven’t got millions in the bank, that is. That greedy, tax-avoiding bunch are perfectly safe with Starmer and Farage.

But you have the power to change that today; vote Green or independent who will work to get our society back on its feet.

Keir Starmer is a zionist. His family live in israel.
“I have relatives in Israel who are affected by the war, says Starmer”
“They say kiddush regularly. “Pretty much every week” there’s a challah”
“The Labour leader has two children with his wife. In 2020, he said they were “bringing [the children] up to recognise the faith of part of their grandfather’s family, and it’s very important.””
““Just carving out that tradition, that bit of faith on Friday is incredibly important, because we get together and we do Zoom prayers now.””

Blocking Gaza candidates is not an ‘own goal’ or an accident, it is intentional genocidal jewish supremacist policymaking.
