2 July 2026 marks 1000 days of Israel’s genocidal war against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This means one thousand days of killing, forced displacement, systematic destruction and ethnic cleansing.

According to a statement by the Government Media Office:

90 percent of the Strip’s buildings and infrastructure have been destroyed, with the support and backing of multiple countries. This has occurred “amid the deafening silence of the forces of global injustice.

Israel has continued to rain down destruction

More than 223,000 tons of explosives have been dropped on civilians. This has resulted in 73,066 martyrs whose bodies have reached hospitals. 9,500 people are still missing under the rubble, with the occupation preventing humanitarian teams from reaching them. 21,500 children and 12,500 women have been massacred by “Israel”.

58,800 children have been orphaned after losing one or both parents. In addition 2,700 Palestinian families have been annihilated, completely erased from the civil registry.

The healthcare system has been intentionally bombed, burned, and damaged by “Israel”. 38 hospitals have been put out of service, while 1,700 healthcare workers have been martyred. At the same time, there is a severe lack of medical treatment available for the more than 173,514 wounded and injured people.

22,000 wounded people have been denied permission to travel abroad for urgent medical care. More than 2.1 million cases of infectious diseases have been recorded among 2 million people forcibly displaced by “Israel”.

The struggle of the forcibly displaced

These Palestinians have been forced to live in 132,000 tents that have completely deteriorated — And are no longer fit for human use.

As part of its genocidal campaign against Palestinians in the Strip, the Israeli occupation continues to ban the entry of mobile homes and reconstruction materials. This crime has “devastated every aspect of life in the Gaza Strip”.

Border crossings have been completely closed for more than 670 days, preventing the entry of hundreds of thousands of trucks carrying aid and food. This has led to 650,000 children being placed at imminent risk of death due to hunger and malnutrition. 58,800 children have been orphaned after losing one or both parents, in a humanitarian tragedy that should shame the conscience of humanity.

The occupation has targeted every single school in Gaza, destroying them completely or partially. More than 620,000 students have been deprived of their right to education, while 20,051 students have been killed.

Israel hasn’t spared the basic foundations of life

410,000 buildings and housing units have either completely demolished or have been rendered uninhabitable by “Israel”. It has also destroyed more than 5,080 kilometres of electricity networks. 1,047 mosques have been completely destroyed and cemeteries desecrated. The occupation has also stolen the bodies of 2,450 martyrs and deceased persons.

“Israel” has also intentionally devastated Gaza’s food security, decimating 87 percent of agricultural land.

As a result, the direct losses resulting from this genocidal campaign have so far exceeded US$80 billion.

In its statement, the Government Media Office states that despite its continued reminders to the international community and United Nations institutions of these injustices, things remain the same.

Not a single effective action has been taken to halt the bloodshed or stop the attempts to eradicate and forcibly displace our noble Palestinian people.

The Israeli occupation and states supporting it are reminded they bear full moral, legal, and historical responsibility for this profound humanitarian catastrophe. This will remain an enduring stain on their record throughout history.

“The occupation is destined to end”

The statement ends by saying the genocide will never succeed in breaking the will of the people in Gaza. It will also not advance the plans of ethnic cleansing.

Through their legendary steadfastness and unwavering attachment to their homeland, the great Palestinian people continue to demonstrate to the entire world that this occupation is destined to end, and that the dawn of freedom and liberation is inevitable.
