Micheál Martin’s toxic government has doubled down on backing one of the world’s most nakedly criminal corporations, by allowing the Irish Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) to increase its shares in the murderous Palantir.
The Ditch reports the following:
The Irish Strategic Investment Fund (ISIF) held 22,073 shares in Palantir valued at €3.34 million at the end of 2025, according to the National Treasury Management Agency’s (NTMA) annual report published yesterday.
ISIF’s annual report for the previous year showed a lower holding of 13,060 shares, for a total of just under €1 million euros. So as Palantir’s appalling activities have become increasingly understood, the amoral Irish government has decided now is the time to boost the ‘Israel’-backing firm with a fresh supply of cash.
Palantir specialises in AI and data analytics. In a sign billionaires are now so powerful they’re just taking the piss, Palantir is named after a collection of magical stones from the Lord of the Rings. These grant wizard Saruman the power of omniscience, which he ultimately abuses to enhance his power.
Palantir deeply embedded in ‘Israeli’ Occupation Forces
The company stepped up its support for so-called ‘Israel’ as the Tel Aviv terror regime at the peak of its holocaust in Gaza. As reported by Responsible Statecraft, in January 2024:
Palantir held a board meeting in Tel Aviv for the first time in “solidarity” with Israel, and announced a new “strategic partnership with the Israeli Defense Ministry to supply technology to help the country’s war effort.
“Both parties have mutually agreed to harness Palantir’s advanced technology in support of war-related missions,” Palantir Executive VP Josh Harris told Bloomberg at the time. “This strategic partnership aims to significantly aid the Israeli Ministry of Defense in addressing the current situation in Israel.”
UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine Francesca Albanese named the company in her Economy of Genocide report, which focused on the companies helping the Zionist entity carry out its extermination campaign. Most people wouldn’t trust anyone in the ‘Israeli’ government to tell them the time of day, but Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel says he “defers to Israel”.
Additionally, it has backed the brownshirts of Trump’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement operation. Palantir has been crucial in ICE’s murderous terror campaign in the US. As reported by the Guardian:
Over the past decade, the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (Ice) has amassed millions of data points that it uses to identify and track its targets – from social media posts to location history and, most recently, tax information.
And there’s been one, multibillion-dollar tech company particularly instrumental in enabling Ice to put all that data to work: Palantir, the data analytics firm co-founded by Peter Thiel, the rightwing mega-donor and tech investor.
Spain rejects, but Micheál Martin says yes
Activists recently did what the Irish government needs to do — they stood up to Thiel and told him to fuck off out of Ireland when he attempted to hold a conference in Wicklow.
Some governments are slowly getting the message about the company, which openly celebrates its violence. The Spanish government has told:
…state-backed companies to avoid signing new contracts with…Palantir because of concerns that sensitive national security information could be exposed…
Others are urging states to drop Palantir on other grounds — namely that its software isn’t as good as home-grown alternatives. As recently reported by the Canary, British MPs (and many others) want Palantir out of the NHS:
Labour MP Rebecca Long-Bailey also recently highlighted Greater Manchester’s data analytics system, which outperforms Palantir’s FDP [Federated Data Platform], and suggested it could serve as a gold-standard model for other [Integrated Care Boards] and Trusts across the NHS.
The Irish government, however, seems happy to carry on helping this vile corporation with its many crimes. Hardly surprising for a pack of Zionists that backs cruelty and warmongering at every opportunity.
