Two ‘mainstream’ hacks — one liberal and one right-wing — have chummily agreed with each other that ‘good local MPs’ are ‘cancer’ to national politics.
Lewis Goodall couldn’t wait to agree with Tory Henry Hill on Hill’s comment in response to Goodall’s observation on Nigel Farage. Clacton residents complain they never see Farage and he pays little attention to them, yet voted Reform anyway in yesterday’s local elections.
To most of us, this would be as good a signifier of the level of rationality of those who vote for toxic ‘Reform UK’ as you could find. To Goodall and Hill, such absentee contempt is great — and MPs who prioritise the wellbeing of those who voted them in are a tumour:

Which, if you think about it, is as good a signifier of the arrogance and contempt of the ‘mainstream’ hack class, too.
