Another of the Israeli military officers involved in the murder of 5-year-old Palestinian girl Hind Rajab and her family has bitten the dust in Israel’s illegal invasion of Lebanon.

In May 2026, Meir Biderman was seriously wounded in an ‘FPV drone’ attack on his 401st armoured brigade HQ in occupied southern Lebanon. Now, first reported on 19 June 2026, Dor Gedalia Ben Simhon, commander of the brigade’s 52nd battalion, was killed when his tank was hit by a ‘suspicious object’ while operating with the notorious ‘Givati brigade’. Simhon had taken over command of the battalion when its previous commander was seriously wounded in a resistance attack. Three other occupation troops were killed in the attack on Simhon’s tank but have not yet been named.

Hind Rajab — Close range

A tank in Simhon’s unit murdered Hind Rajab, all the other six families travelling in their car with her. The tank also murdered two Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics, Youssef Zeino and Ahmed Al Madhoun, who had been dispatched, with Israeli authorisation, to attend them. Israel tried to claim that they had been killed in a crossfire during a battle with Palestinian resistance groups. However, forensic analysis of the physical evidence at the site, as well as of audio of Hind’s conversation with the ambulance dispatcher, proved that the family was murdered in repeated attacks by a tank only a few metres away. The tank crew would have known that the vehicle contained a family, mostly female, including children.
