Climate wrecker and Epstein bestie Donald Trump really wasn’t welcome in the UK

Climate Resistance projected messages onto Windsor Castle during Trump’s state visit to the UK. The group made sure to give the fascist US president and Jeffery Epstein bestie a vibrant, heart-shaped welcome to the (equally morally bankrupt) royal’s residence on Wednesday evening.

Trump and Epstein: climate wrecker and disgraced billionaire bestie

A green glowing projection read:

Trump ❤️ Epstein

Green heart projection on Windsor Castle reads: "Trump + Epstein"

Another in bold green caps said:

He Works For Billionaires

Others pointed to the ‘Drill Baby Drill’ fossil fuel stooge as the “Climate Wrecker” he is:

Climate Wrecker in green caps projected onto Windsor Castle walls.

Ahead of his visit, Trump has been attacking the UK’s transition away from fossil fuels towards renewables. He has been pressuring the UK to double down on oil and gas instead.

This is amid the UK government deliberating the final decision on whether to approve or reject the controversial Rosebank oil field. Owner Equinor is preparing to resubmit its application for development.

And to remind the vile racist president he’s not welcome in the UK, another delivered the message to “Deport Trump”:

Tax them out of existence

Climate Resistance is a grassroots campaign group, calling for the UK government to tax the super-rich out of existence. The group is demanding the government put this wealth to use funding climate action and public services.

The group coincided its protest with the arrival of Trump to king Charles’ Windsor estate for a grossly gargantuan state dinner.

It lit up the walls as police arrested Led By Donkeys activists for projecting Trump-Epstein’s cosy relationship onto the castle. The campaign group had displayed messages Trump wrote to the convicted pedophile across Windsor Castle. Thames Valley Police had labelled Led By Donkeys’ projections as ‘malicious communications’. Of course, it was all Trump’s own words – and Epstein’s crimes – the cops were finding so offensive.

Climate Resistance’s projections didn’t rattle the police quite the same way. Nonetheless, their messages to Trump shone out bright and clear:

Sam Simons of Climate Resistance said:

Trump is a billionaire-backed bigot. On both sides of the Atlantic, the super-rich are bankrolling far-right politicians who will serve their interests while throwing working people under the bus. It’s time to tax Trump’s billionaire mates out of existence, and spend their obscene wealth on schools, hospitals and tackling the climate crisis.
