Reform candidate gives X unqualified support despite CSAM scandal

As we reported, Elon Musk’s X/Twitter has been producing revenge porn-style images through its AI, Grok. Even worse, it’s been producing the same images of children, which would count as Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) – i.e. what people once called ‘child porn’. Obviously, any normal person would agree that a site that produces CSAM should not be allowed to exist as long as it continues to publish it. Reform leader Nigel Farage is no such person, having argued that any X ban is out of the question.

Now, the Reform London mayoral candidate has slithered out from under her rock to voice the same opinion:

I have had more abuse on this platform than anywhere else but I still oppose any attempt by government to ban or control X. It is not their job to protect us from opinions. Free speech means just that, free.
Censorship only protects those in power who have something to hide. And… pic.twitter.com/sla1ijrudi

Why is it so difficult for these people to oppose Child Sexual Abuse Material in any circumstance?

The deviant right in Reform

Laila Cunningham is Reform’s prospective candidate for London mayor:

Usually, when a politician is launched to national attention, they avoid making it seem like they’re soft on CSAM. In other words, it’s another example of Reform breaking the mold.  You probably wouldn’t call her a ‘breath of fresh air’, but she’s certainly a waft of something.

To help Reform out, we’re going to explain very slowly what their politicians should be saying:

  1. ‘Of course I support free speech, but Elon Musk must stop his AI from generating CSAM’.
  2. ‘Of course I support free speech, but Elon Musk’s refusal to stop generating CSAM mandates blocking his site until the CSAM is stopped’.
  3. ‘Of course I support free speech, but are you fucking kidding me? Shut that shit down‘.

Reform understand that the British public hate child abuse. Cunningham especially understands this, because she’s written about it:

If this government were really serious about protecting women and girls, it would demand that Pakistan take back the men who gang-raped British girls.
And if it won’t? It would stop issuing visas until they do”

Admittedly, we do think that Reform are cynical on this stuff, as evidenced by Farage publicly besmirching several of the victims:

EXCL: Five women have asked for an apology from Nigel Farage after he suggested they weren't victims of grooming gangs.

They said that, while they had been abused by Asian men, they were “aware the inquiry is not just about us” and the comments were "degrading and humiliating".

Whether we believe Reform’s sincerity or not, there does seems to be a lot of people in the country who care about the abuse of women (even if some of them only care about it so far as it allows them to hate Pakistani men). As such, it’s unexpected to see Reform completely tarnishing any credibility they have on this topic.

So what explains this?

Elon Musk

While it would be the most normal thing in the world to say ‘the CSAM must stop‘, the problem is they’d be saying it to Elon Musk – an incredibly abnormal person.

As Musk has already made clear, he doesn’t want his AI to stop undressing women (we did a detailed breakdown of this tweet here):

Exactly https://t.co/XSDUkzPfqq

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) January 10, 2026

Reform know that if they upset Musk, he will turn on them. This has already happened to Farage:

The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) January 5, 2025

Advance UK will actually drive change.

Farage is weak sauce who will do nothing. https://t.co/Vnw2uTdRRi

— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) August 26, 2025

If they upset Musk again, he could completely throttle their reach. He could also actively campaign against them and further promote the parties to the right of them.

In our opinion, Reform have torched their ill-deserved credibility on women’s safety to keep the world’s richest pervert happy.

What a sorry state of affairs for a party which claims to put Britain’s interests first and foremost.
