Environmental protesters unveiled large coloured boats across five UK cities as they called on the government to halt wildlife losses and cut greenhouse gases to net zero by 2025.

Not sure if it is the greatest idea to save the planet by forcing motorists into tailbacks for hours on end and leading to more pollution. Must be a better way to get your message across. In Cardiff you just upset people trying to get to work on a Monday morning, which is hard enough without a major road thru the city centre being blocked. You also affected various businesses on the same road, guess they will be happy that you cost them a day’s revenue and you are supposedly going to do it again today and tomorrow, maybe up to 5 days.

The time is not far off when extreme weather – snow, heat & floods – could have those commuters reminiscing for the days when they sat in traffic on their way to now non existent jobs.
Climate Extinction demonstrators might be annoying but the subject needs to be front and centre and a demonstration is of little value if it doesn’t make people sit up and take notice. We have been ignoring this subject for far too long, the time for action is now.
Whilst sitting in their cars, the commuters might muse on more effective and less polluting methods of getting to work.
I feel that Lassie’s view is remarkably short sighted.
