The UK is on course for a December general election after Labour announced its conditions to back the move had been met.

Jeremy Corbyn told his shadow cabinet Labour would launch the “most ambitious and radical campaign for real change our country has ever seen” now a no-deal Brexit was “off the table”.

It comes ahead of the government’s bid to convince MPs to back a poll on 12 December.

The Skwawkbox reports that Labour will be focussing its campaign on “reversing the misery, poverty and cuts” of a decade of Tory-led austerity. Labour will also seek to amend the election bill to give 16- and 17-year-olds the vote.

For the first time, I am having my doubts on Jeremy Corbyn. The guy seems to be too indecisive in clearing out the vipers around his neck. Instead the like of Murphy, Williamson has been sidelined. Momentum seems to be no more than a paper tiger. I was expecting a good chunk of back-stabbers to lose their re-election battle. The ‘victory’ of Margaret Hodge just sickens me. Perhaps Labour, under whoever leadership, isn’t really worth voting.

This will be too painful to watch. Labour should have pressed for a second referendum first. Labour will do badly in this election because it will be dominated by brexit, and Labour’s position is too indecisive. If there had been a second referendum first, with remain winning, as polls have suggested would happen, Labour would have won the next General Election.
