On a historic night marked by determination, the Palestinian national team secured qualification for the quarter finals of the 2025 Arab Cup for the first time in its history, topping Group A with five points, ahead of Syria on goal difference, while Tunisia came third and Qatar fourth.

Palestine began the tournament with a valuable 2-2 draw against Tunisia, after a heroic comeback from two goals down, before achieving a historic 1-0 victory over Qatar in the 91st minute, entering the final match against Syria with confidence and determination to secure a place in the next round.
In this Arab Cup showdown, Palestine and Syria played out a goalless draw in a match in which both teams showed great respect for each other’s desire to reach the next round.
In the second match of the same round, Tunisia achieved a narrow 2-0 victory over Qatar, settling for third place despite their late awakening, while Qatar remained in fourth place with one point.
