Reform UK embarrassed as Trump throws ICE under the bus

As we’ve reported, masked goons have been running amok in the US. Said goons work for the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, and while their remit is to enforce immigration laws, they’ve been harassing entire cities since Donald Trump returned to power. Earlier this month, this saw them swarming Minnesota, with ICE agents murdering two American citizens on camera.

After the latest killing, some Reform politicians made it clear that they support what’s happening:

Reform UK Councillor @Joseph_Boam, everyone.

When you say “standing with”, which of the two crime scenes in Minneapolis are you referring to? pic.twitter.com/8BZOwSomD0

— Reform Party UK Exposed 🇬🇧 (@reformexposed) January 25, 2026

This is especially embarrassing now, as Donald Trump has refused to endorse the murder of Alex Pretti, and has actually started throwing senior politicians and ICE agents under the bus:

Get ready for Trump to throw Noem & Bovino under the bus—maybe the shooting agents too—as he desperately tries to be the hero & boost his cratering approval over this chaos. It’s what he always does: the arsonist who puts out his own fire & claims to be the hero. So predictable pic.twitter.com/QkUps6oSyO

Trump suck-ups

As we’ve frequently made clear, Nigel Farage and Kemi Badenoch have made it clear they want to import ICE-style enforcement to the UK. They did so after ICE began terrorising civilian populations in the US but before the latest spree of murders. In other words, they knew that ICE was a tool of government oppression; they just failed to grasp how bad the optics would be.

The killing of Alex Pretti saw ICE shooting an unarmed American in the back. This hasn’t just horrified people on the left; it’s horrified most of the American population, including retired generals:

In the last hour, "T2" posted this same photo five times, replying to Pete Hegseth, Steven Miller, Bondi, etc. Just this photo, no text. Retired 4-star Gen. Tony Thomas led the nation's Special Operations Command. https://t.co/3eLQWaSfLR

Pretti had been carrying a gun, but he was doing so legally. Whether you think that sort of thing should be allowed, it was his right as an American. It’s also the sort of thing Republicans have pushed to defend, and yet the Trump regime initially reacted to the killing by labelling Pretti an “assassin” and a danger. This has driven a considerable wedge between them and their gun-toting supporters.

Reading the writing on the wall, Trump and his press secretary have begun to throw senior politicians under the bus:

I think more than just Stephen Miller needs held accountable for calling him an assassin. pic.twitter.com/OKBIURoNDC

One of the only things I like about Trump is that he will inevitably throw his staunchest sycophants under the bus. Miller and Vance will get the treatment at some point, hopefully sooner than later. https://t.co/yImWbmUmZD

FBI Director Kash Patel is also clearly panicked:

Kash Patel: We're not going after people and infringing on their freedom of speech to peacefully protest. We’re definitely not going after people and their Second Amendment right to bear arms. pic.twitter.com/3nXuGNREsH

The pint pot fascist leading the charge in Minnesota was Gregory Bovino, who you may recognise from the following image in which he posed in his own custom made jacket (no prizes for guessing which one of the three German reichs inspired the look):

A demotion and a quiet retirement aren’t justice. They’re an escape hatch.

Greg Bovino oversaw a killing, helped shield the shooter, pushed unverified claims, and obstructed transparency.

That’s criminal conduct and it demands arrest, charges, and prosecution. pic.twitter.com/TYpkYptcih

— Brian Allen (@allenanalysis) January 27, 2026

Following the murder of Pretti, Bovino was getting into arguments with random commenters online:

Even my most liberal friends are saying the opposite of what you say

— Commander Op At Large CA Gregory K. Bovino (@CMDROpAtLargeCA) January 25, 2026

Now, Bovino has been dragged out of Minnesota and off social media:

To be clear, this is a victory, which was won by ordinary people putting their lives on the line in the streets of Minneapolis while almost all their elected leaders kept quiet or made only muted criticism. https://t.co/YBtGKI2BC9

— Jeet Heer (@HeerJeet) January 27, 2026

oh, so it's over over https://t.co/BcGgsmp6b0

‘Reform’ to what?

The Reform councillor who tweeted support for ICE after Pretti’s killing was Joseph Boam, who we’ve covered before. As Reform Exposed highlighted, councillor Michael Squires also showed support:

These two Leicestershire Councillors have deleted their comments, despite saying they stood by ICE, they clearly were doing this either for attention or to be controversial, if they had conviction they wouldn’t have deleted them.

That’s Reform UK for you, they don’t think.

This… pic.twitter.com/kZ9x5ivkbh

— Reform Party UK Exposed 🇬🇧 (@reformexposed) January 26, 2026

Most Reform politicians weren’t misguided enough to ‘stand with ICE’ following the murder. At the same time, it is Reform policy to implement an ICE-like force in the UK, so why wouldn’t Boam and Squires show support?

Beyond ICE, Reform London mayoral candidate Laila Cunningham joined in with Trump’s latest push to colonise Greenland over the weekend, and that too came after the slaying of Pretti.

Make no mistake; this is embarrassing for Reform, and it’s a worrying sign of what they have planned should they attain power.
