US intervention a ‘good idea’ now ‘Wotsit Hitler’ is in charge, claim experts

To be fair to Western intervention, it isn’t always catastrophic. Sometimes it’s much worse than that – like when we created the ideal vacuum for Daesh (Isis/Isil) to form in.

Despite previous failures, people wonder – is there anything the US can do to make intervention a good idea?

Well, if you listen to some of the people talking about the Venezuela situation, the thing which will make intervention pan out this time is…

Donald fucking Trump

America and the EU should use all the tools at their disposal to boost Juan Guaidó's parallel government https://t.co/1sQHhNul6t

— The Economist (@TheEconomist) January 26, 2019

President Trump is, to put it mildly, a shit-spouting arsehole with the tactical acumen of a colostomy bag. But according to one commentator:

Look, we know US intervention is wrong; we also know Trump is wrong. But what do they say about two wrongs? That’s correct – they make a right.

Someone pointed out the saying is actually ‘two wrongs don’t make a right’. The commentator replied:

Fuck it – let’s do this shit anyway. Woo! Freedom or else, mother fuckers!

Progress

Thankfully, less sources than usual seem to be optimistic about the idea of another US intervention. Parts of the liberal media in particular seem to have wised up to the idea that you can’t fight fire with petrol.

So well done them for catching up. We should really talk about capitalism and James Corden next, because they’re not working either.
