An independence day massacree? What could be more appropriate? When Washington watched the.last British ship disappear over the horizon, he tossed the Declaration of Independence into the wastebasket and said “Right, we’ve got that shit out of the way now let’s do what we really want, let’s get out there, kill them Redskins and WHIP THEM NIGGERS!”
The whipping of enslaved people in the USA, as in the British empire, was generally a means to the end of keeping them producing wealth for their owners. As Adolph Reed, Jr. and others have shown, the violent racism was the main way to justify the hugely-profitable, capitalist practice of enslaving people.
