Morocco qualified for the semi-finals of the 2025 Arab Cup after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Syria in the quarter-finals at Khalifa International Stadium in Doha. They will face the winner of tomorrow’s match between Algeria and the United Arab Emirates in the semi-finals.

In another exciting match, Saudi Arabia secured their place in the semi-finals after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Palestine in extra time in the quarter-finals at Lusail Stadium, thus shattering Palestine’s dream of reaching the final four.

Palestine did not give up against the Green Falcons in the Arab Cup

The match between Palestine and Saudi Arabia was one of the most intense of the round, with the Saudi team taking the lead with a penalty kick by Firas Al-Buraikan in the 58th minute. However, Palestine’s Fedayeen responded quickly through Oudi Dabbagh, equalising the score in the 64th minute, which kept the match even until the end and forced it into extra time. Despite the effort and high spirits shown by the Palestinian team, Mohammed Kano scored the winning goal for Saudi Arabia in the 115th minute, ending the match 2-1 and qualifying the Green Falcons for the semi-finals.

Palestine’s performance in the tournament was a footballing epic, as they put up a combative performance and showed great determination against a strong team, leaving a big impression on the media and fans with their enthusiasm and high spirits despite all the circumstances.

Friday’s quarter-final matches

Next, Arab Cup football fans can look forward to two exciting matches in the quarter-finals:

🔹 Jordan vs Iraq

🔹 Algeria vs UAE

The winners of these matches will face Morocco and Saudi Arabia in the semi-finals.
