Labour Party leader Keir Starmer was forced to leave a pub in Bath during a walkabout after being kicked out by the landlord. This followed a row over lockdown restrictions. Rod Humphris, landlord of The Raven pub, appeared to be held back by security guards as he shouted:
That’s assault. I’m not bothering you. I’m not bothering him
That man [Starmer] is not allowed in my pub…get out of my pub, go one get out of my pub
The incident on Monday was captured on camera by reporters amid a visit to the city by Starmer to support West of England metro mayoral candidate Dan Norris ahead of the forthcoming elections.
On why he asked Sir Keir to leave, Mr Humphris later told the PA news agency:
I had heard that the Labour Party were coming round and he turned up and I told him what I thought of him, basically.
I think he has utterly failed us as the Leader of the Opposition. He has completely failed to ask the questions that needed asking, like, why did we throw away our previous pandemic preparedness?
Why have we just accepted lockdown? Why have we just accepted the loss of all our freedoms?

The 54-year-old, who said he does not agree with coronavirus lockdowns, said:
He walked into my pub without asking and I threw him out. Or at least, I did my best to throw him out – his security got in the way.
Starmer, who was wearing a black face mask while inside, left the pub following the confrontation, accompanied by members of his team.
Mr Humphris said he gave Starmer a “piece of my mind”, adding: “I would say this to any politician – it’s not a partisan matter.”

‘Forensic’ Starmer eh?
There’s a narrative that the pub landlord was “anti-lockdown”.
From this article this appears to be spin.
Next time I visit Bath, I’ll be making my way to “The Raven” pub for a pint.
WELL-SAID LANDLORD !!
Oh dear.
How different from the crowds that thronged the streets when Corbyn was leader.
When was that exactly?
About a year and a half ago. There has never been another British politician who has inspired people to gather in their thousands to hear him speak. Only Corbyn! My Mother who is 95 cannot remember anyone else who has received such acclaim from the public. One thing is sure, Starmer, who cannot describe himself as a Labour politician, ever will or ever could receive such enthusiastic endorsement for ordinary people.
Hilarious, and the Pub Owner thanked Starmer for leaving as well. If everyone did that……
Hilarious, and the Pub Owner thanked Starmer for leaving as well if you listen closely at the end. If everyone did that……
We’d have a nice world.
Kier Stalin was surrounded by bully boys. Imagine St.Jeremy with a crew like that! At least the landlord has photographic evidence of assault by that Starmer thug…who must have heavy books thrown at him………..
What joy to hear someone telling Starmer what we all want to say “get out of our Labour Party”
At least Jezza was never thrown out of any pubs! Starmer’s “arseholing” is the biggest humiliation since Lord Halifax was denied entry to Australia (the Aussie Passport Control officer said “We don’t allow BLUDGERS into God’s Own Country!”). Labour actually gave Churchill the job because “We’d rather be led by a bastard who murdered Welsh miners than an idiot who wasn’t let into Australia!”.
