Ghislaine Maxwell is just the tip of the iceberg
We know everyone is suffering under the Tories - but the Canary is a vital weapon in our fight back, and we need your support
The Canary Workers’ Co-op knows life is hard. The Tories are waging a class war against us we’re all having to fight. But like trade unions and community organising, truly independent working-class media is a vital weapon in our armoury.
The Canary doesn’t have the budget of the corporate media. In fact, our income is over 1,000 times less than the Guardian’s. What we do have is a radical agenda that disrupts power and amplifies marginalised communities. But we can only do this with our readers’ support.
So please, help us continue to spread messages of resistance and hope. Even the smallest donation would mean the world to us.

In two days time (6th July) it will have been 3 years since Epstein was arrested prior to the incarceration where he was found hanging. Although Maxwell has now been jailed I don’t see any evidence of the US having taken any further action with the mountain of evidence they are rumoured to have. They could even have offered a deal to Maxwell to rat out co-conspirators. Of course she may have thought the price for that was too high. We will have to see how she gets on in prison.
The US seems able to spend $millions to illegally request Julian Assange be extradited for politically embarrassing them but it seems unable to do absolutely ANYTHING about Prince Andrew. Even forgetting him the other named parties have still to be questioned. And why was Alan Dershowitz allowed to act for Epstein and do a deal that benefitted him (Dershowitz) whilst doing so? Are there no rules on conflict of interest in the US?
We all know the answers to this but it’s still shocking that they’ll do it right before our eyes without even trying to justify it..
