In the absence of Britain’s political and media establishment having the foggiest clue about what Brexit really means for the country, some bright sparks on Twitter have been coming up with their own definitions – and they are rather brilliant.

Whatever your position on the rights or wrongs of 2016’s EU referendum and its result, you’d have to be in a minority of one to feel that this process has been managed at all well through any stage.

#BrexitReallyMeans

For some, it feels like a tragic end to an almost comically stupid turf war within the Conservative Party.

For others, the focus was on what Brexit really means in hard and fast consequences for people living in Britain.

#BrexitReallyMeans Voting to take back what we never lost in order to lose everything we had !

And some people seemed to be feeling the effects of Brexit-related stress already.

As Britain steps ever closer to the great unknown of Brexit, clarity doesn’t look like it will show up any time soon. But hey, at least we still have the great British sense of humour to help us along, eh? *cough.
